My sister just recently sold a house that she didn't have a mortgage on. She owned it free and clear. My sister owes me a significant amount of money. They would not allow the proceeds of the sale of the house to be wired to me. ****** said it has to be wired to the seller of the house because it's the law. Bullcrap! It doesn't have to be wired to the seller! She can wire the money wherever the heck she wants. Instead of reaching out earlier in the day when it was supposed to close, they call after 4pm when the wire deadline has already passed. Very incompetent!

Hi *****, We apologize for any frustration. Proceeds are to be disbursed to the owner of record in a real estate transaction. The owner of record is the person or entity named as the seller on the purchase agreement or preliminary title report. Thank you,

WARNING Stay away, if you are the seller, find another company. I have been in industry for 25+ transactions last 15 years. Never Not once have I been treated so unprofessionally, and ripped off. Not to give to many details, but I just closed and got statement, shouldn't be shocked, I'm not only shocked but, totally disappointed on what ***** *****, Magnus Title Agency, ended up charging me. This property I had titled 7 months ago, and they charged full price, $2,565.00 total for a 160k plot of land. Did I say it was just titled 7 months ago. Full price ? Asked and was told would be adjusted. Never mentioned it and totally charged me everything. Also tried to make me drive a hour out of my way, for signing. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ! All about themselves. Expressed my frustration to multiple offices. nothing ........ WARNING

There is a reason MAGNUS TITLE is not accredited by the BBB. They were chosen by the Payor to collect my mortgage payment. It took MAGNUS TITLE, THREE MONTHS to deposit the money into my account. Escrow closed August 31 2023, and I have had no resolve in getting the Payor's payment, taking numerous phone calls and even an email to *************************** the president of MAGNUS TITLE. Then they had the nerve to ask me to waive the Payor's late fee! Stay away from MAGNUS TITLE. There are many title companies in Arizona. Choose wisely. MAGNUS TITLE doesn't even deserve one star.

We unfortunately had a very poor experience with this title company. It started out by Magnus (Tempe, Arizona) not sending documents back to our lender in a timely manner and forcing our lending team to follow up with them several times - the big kicker, however, was that they tried to charge us an unnecessary $300 for a mobile notary without us knowing. Someone from Magnus called me to schedule the signing and when I requested we do the signing at their office, she replied with its just easier for us to do the mobile notary and have you sign at your house and confirmed for me it was an extra $300 to do so. When we arrived to do the signing, they were very non-attentive and apathetic to us. We arrived 2-3 min before the signing, sat down in the signing room and proceeded to wait for almost 15 min before our real estate agent went to go find someone. We had to wait 5-7 days to get that $300 back. Even though we were buyers and didnt have a choice on title company, this showed us that among all the extra cost and fees that other title companies normally DONT have, that this company needs to improve tremendously to have our business again in the future.
