      In August last year I purchased a lifetime membership with Spartan Vacations. They said I'd only have to pay a yearly renewal fee if I used the service. Today I get an email stating that they wanted to charge me for my renewal. I called to explain I was told that I would only be charged the renewal fee when I utilized the service. They made it seem I wouldn't lose out on any benefits if I didn't use the service every year. I had explained that I had previously had a timeshare and my objection to it was the yearly renewal fees/maintenance. They insisted this wasn't the case with their company. Had they told me I had a yearly renewal fee regardless of whether I used the service or not I never would have purchased the lifetime membership. I assume I'm not the only one they've done this to. This company is misleading their customers and should be held accountable for their actions. Thank you.

      I purchased a vacation package through SPARTAN VACATIONS on 09/2024 for $8000. this with the hope that we would receive discounts on travel and hotel prices. we recently discovered upon attempting to booked a hotel for an upcoming trip that the company, SPARTAN VACATIONS no longer exist.Please advice if i could be assisted regarding this matter. thank you in advance,**** ****

      They are scammers. They did a presentation and lied that they had BBB rating, also they were in business for ***** years. They showed us all the great savings we could get, etc. we signed the contract and paid 5k on October 6, 2023. I called several times in regards that they would sell my timeshares via ****** *****, ************* and to book a vacation. Their website is invalid and I get numerous excuse on why our timeshare is not sold. The company and it's salesperson should be investigate for fraud.

      11/5/24 I purchased an agreement with Vacation Ownership ********************************* Vacations to receive assistance in the selling of my timeshare. The sales *** ** ***** @ ****************** sales team @ ******************* agreed to proactively assist in the relinquishing of the deed property. ** ***** called once to obtain information. Spartan Vacations is a subsidiary of ***. My initial complaint was to *** and feedback responses from *** is that I have to work with Spartan directly for resolution. I've requested directly to the company to CANCEL the solicitation process and asking for a refund of $399 because neither sales team has proactively reached out to me with the outcome or status of the process. No specific detailed information was relayed in person. A 5 minute brief on the process via phone. I have emailed Spartan @ ************************************************** to no avail. A *** from Spartan after reviewing the taped conversations I have left and emails apologizes for the staff demeanor. However I'm asking for a written notification that the process has been terminated for lack of legal commitment to assist in the transitioning. As a senior I've been aggressively attempting to settle estate matters and need BBB help in this closure. I have to seek another alternative other than **************************** (Spartan) who has not upheld to the agreement. In addition I sent a credit card statement under the BBB initial complaint about *** on how the charges were posted. It indicates a charged processed by *** on 11/12/24.

      On 10/24/2024, we purchased this vacation license. After doing research that evening, we were able to see that there was a "high scam alert" on this company online, and that the information presented by them was not truthful. I immediately sent emails asking questions and I was told that I wouldn't be able to access information until several business days (when I had no recourse with my credit card company). I told the agent (in writing) that I would have to file a dispute if I could not get information. I did file the dispute, but was told that my credit card could not help because it was a license and ********************** had to cancel it directly, which I did not specifically ask them to do. It was very deceitful that no one told me that I needed to send an email to Spartan (not my credit card company) to cancel this! So, I paid the bill, even though I was not happy.Two months later, I tried to use the service and purchase a hotel room. I called the number and was told that everything that I purchased was frozen and I could not purchase anything. I tried to have a conversation with the agent and explain that I paid the $3,894, but the agent shut down the call and said they could not talk to me, and that someone would call me within 1-2 business days. That was on 12/30/24, and I had to purchase my hotel on my own. This company is completely ridiculous and a scam.I'd like a refund for this service, this company is not providing the service, and they are not legitimate according to online research and my experience on their site.

      As stated in my original letter, the company mislead me in what they are able to with respect to travel arrangements. I do not agree with the company's comments.

      Their response is deceitful and total fiction and is consistent with my initial claim of fraud the same as their vacations. As attached, there have been multiple communications, (mostly by phone at their request), but I have attached some of the emails and documents in those communications. As seen, everything done to the company requests, including conversations with Supervisor Jay *****. These companies are just outright fraudulent in their sales and the answer they sent to you. There's no other "friend" or anyone outside of myself and my other vacation partner. All information has been communicated from instructions seen bookings of at least 2 hotels, 1 cancelled due to hurricane, and a cruise that was more expensive than  average price. They are not coming close to what they tell you in their sales pitch, and then con you out of your money. Their savings, in this case, are less than the average you can obtain elsewhere, as well as their sales pitch is that they can save you thousands of dollars and 1 phone call addresses the vacation. Their alleged savings was only $ 500/person and was not even less expensive vs regular price or one we from a travel agent. But, their sales pitch is they offer the lowest price on any international vacation and will save you largest percentages of money, (their examples showed at least 25-40%), and their quote is more expensive than travel agent without special discounts. The travel agent price includes gratuities, refundable tickets, insurance, taxes, etc., and their's does not, adding to their total cost. We never agreed where we search out a vacation, at discounted price, talk to them, and they would do better. Again, one phone call was supposed to elicit a final quote and the savings were supposed to be included. In addition, in this case, the cruise we wanted was reviewed by them over "black friday" weekend and Celebrity was offering several thousands of dollars in their booking, but this company did not even come close.

They are supposed to offer the best price the first quote they give you, not compared to someone else. Then they argued their room would be better and in fact, it was identical and they implied I was lying about this and the cost. I did send them out total cost and room number to document my claims. With these constant problems and issues we told them we wanted to cancel the membership and just receive a full refund. Their agent(s) refused to even consider this. Bottom line is that they cost us about $ 8000 and made us many promises, none have panned out. They do not have a 1 phone call to address your requests; they do not offer the discounts, if any, they claim when you sign up, and I believe they are defrauding people in their sales and promises. They sound like an excellent program, especially to seniors, be aware, you will not get what you are paying for.

      The program is most effective when using the online portal to shop and then booking with our live concierge for maximum savings. Member did login in to shop several times, but never booked anything or spoke to the live concierge. They are basing their experience with Spartan based on the the undocumented experience of another member. Spartan does offer a 10% price match guarantee in the event the member can find the exact accommodations on the same date for less than what Spartan offers. The membership is still active and available for booking unlimited travel as per the agreement.

      I am requesting the claim be reopened as soon as possible. There saw a typing error with the amount. The dispute amount was not for an annual renewal fee but for about 1/2 of the purchase price of the vacation package of 7,995.00. My  credit card backed out the charge due to the deceit and lies we were told from ******* ****** and Mr ****** in reference to us being granted 2 separate logons and passwords. When I called To set one for myself I was told that was not possible hence the dispute.  Francis Puchalski’s Barclays credit card backed the charge out on his card and then Spartan submitted it again. See previous notes.  Also see attachments and email received recently from a spartan or VOA REP And transcribed phone call with VOA agent in reference to 2 separate logins and passwords. Please address this issue as soon as possible on our behalf.

      * the sale *** a text saying that it was just too stressful and we were therefore canceling the contract. I tried to call 3 l times with no answer hence the text. I then disputed the charge for half of the fee on my credit card which was $3997.00 ******* also disputed the charge with his credit card company which they issued a provisional credit for $ *******. Spartan sent copy of contract to ******* Puchalskis credit card company noting 3 day cancel policy however it was 5 business days before acct activation which makes it a scam to sign up with that company. We have gone above and beyond to resolve this dispute of $3,998.00 on ******* Puchalskis credit card. My credit card company backed out the charge. We have been deceived and lied to by ******* ****** again in November per voice mail which is recorded saying we now could have separate logons and passwords however we would each have to pay $3999.00 per year renewal fee.That was never discussed at the table before we signed.

      i tried using your concierge service as well. They sent me quotes with crappy hotels which have 3 rating on google maps, where I would never stay. Again, no savings. Priciline and booking.com, costco have much better prices. This is not what you guys promised us.

      i need my $4995 membership fee reimbursed.

      this is a big scam that you drag people into. Now you created a new company- spartan vacations  so people won’t see the bad reviews on BBB.org and sign up under pressure to your worthless membership. 

      by the way, in the whole world, all the hotel bookings are refundable for some period, you do not even offer that!!!!

      like you guys all told me, “ do not use one line access, call us”. So the fee i paid for online access is a waste. The online platform does have hidden fees, does not calculate the full price for all the people listed, only gives the price for two adults, and when you book through online website, they cannot guarantee the hotel you booked. What a bullshit!

      so no matter i have access to online website or not, it is useless.

      Liked I mentioned in my previous response, i tried using your concierge service and the options for the hotels I got were horrible. 3 star reviews on google maps. I am not willing to stay in those hotels. 

      return my $4995 membership fees, as you guys are liars. None of the presentation you made for us is true.
