My son, *********** *********************, went to Pima Medical School to sign up to attend the Sonography program. He passed all the prerequisites and is qualified to attend the course. He is not able to attend the course because he is being directed by his counselor to attend instead a dental assistant program or a medical assistant program first before being able to attend the sonography program that he wishes to attend. I went with him to sign up for the sonography program and he was told he could not sign up for the program because he had to have a medical background even though that is not what the rules of the school state. I spoke to someone from the school today and they told me they would text me the name and address of the director here locally and they would be contacting me but since I havent heard from anyone, I decided to file a complaint. I am trying to find out why we are being told that he has to take other classes when this is not true. This is false advertisement and this business is not telling the truth. If you are stating that certain things need to be done to attend a certain class and he qualifies then why does he need to attend a whole ten month long class or be a dental assistant too before he can attend the class that he wants to attend. Something does not seem right about the way business is being done.
