      On November 18, 2022 we met with a person from Legend Insallations in *******, ** regarding replacing glass in our patio doors and adjacent panels. They had previously done work for ** and asked for a 50% deposit, which I gave them. The deposit was $2406.83. Beginning in December, I started calling to see when they would be doing the installation. Was never able to get a reply. I just found out through a third party that they have gone out of business (about 2 weeks after I paid them) -- without returning my money.. I just spoke with the person that handled their scheduling, who said he was laid off in December and couldn't give out any information about others in the business who I might be able to contact. Very odd, since it was a family owned business and, I believe, he's a member of that family. What recourse do I have?
