    BE WARE! Prior to my fathers death, he moved up to ******** to live with my family. He was living in my home when he passed on May 7, 2023. ************************** came to my home to pick my father up for cremation. He met with my entire extended family. I filled out all his paperwork, as well as providing him with a copy of my fathers will and we made arrangements for my fathers cremation. A few days Later, ***** inadvertently decided to take it upon himself to attempt to contact my fathers estranged wife. He then held my fathers remains hostage for two weeks, refusing to either release his body to another funeral home or to cremate him regardless of my fathers wishes. He waited three weeks to get ahold of my fathers estranged wife before allowing him to be cremated, the entire time threatening ME, that he was going to charge us a daily fee for storage of the body. When he was finally cremated, my fathers remains were then handed over to the estranged wife without anyone contacting myself or my brother, the two people my father put in charge as his PR and POA. This has been the worst nightmare my family has ever had to deal with. It took us 11 months and $40,000 in attorneys fees to retrieve what may or may not actually be my fathers remains. No one in my family will ever have to piece of mind of knowing whether or not my fathers last wishes for his final interment were ever actually accomplished because i have no way of ever knowing if what I have finally received is actually my fathers ashes in its entirety or at all.
