My name is ************************* I was admitted to YRMC west May the 2024 to room 317 the bed wasn't made so the nurses made it when I was in the bed I looked at the bed rail on the upper right side of the bed and there ead blood on it and I picked up the call light to call the nurse and there was blood on the call light then I turned my head alittle to the left and there was also blood on the left side bed rail! It make me sick! The nurse came in and saw it and moved me to room 302! I think people should be compensated for having to go through that and I pray I don't catch anything from touching the call light with blood on it! Very discuss ting!

The event was reviewed and immediate resolution was implemented once the concerns were identified, with the patient being moved from rm 317 to rm 302. Standard operating procedures when cleaning and preparing the room for a new patient were re-emphasized with the appropriate to staff as a reminder.
