I was a tenant at a property handled by this company. They acquired the management of this property with the new owner effective 5/31/2023. My lease was up effective 5/31/2023 and I was totally moved out at that date. I also had a cleaning person come in and clean the apartment top to bottom. On June 1st I called A1 and left a message asking where/how to drop off the keys and asking for information on the process of receiving my deposit back. After a couple of days and no response, I contacted another person at A1 and finally on June 12th received a reply stating that my deposit would be in the mail no later than June 20th. Now, I am being told that since no one let me know where to drop off my keys, that I need to do that and then A1 will do a move out inspection and then, they will have another 14 business days to get my deposit done. This company is saying they do not hold my deposit and are working on that. I have spoken to the Realtor and previous property owner who both state the deposits were transferred June 1, 2023 when the property was sold. I have emails stating that my deposit would be in the mail by June 20, 2023. I was not asked for the keys, which I would have turned over immediately, nor was I informed that an inspection was scheduled or done. The person in charge of this account was out for surgery but that is no excuse and I am sure it was planned, so coverage for her accounts should have been done. Respectfully,*****************************
