    I had a saleman come to my home about a window covering for my bathroom. I explained I needed something in my bathroom window that would completely block out shadows so no one could see into the bathroom at night when the lights were on. This window is in the shower area. He did not have any samples of the one that showed complete blockage in the book. He ordered samples and gave them to me to put in my bedroom window. I could not really tell the coverage from the samples as they were small. They seemed to work but really could not tell about shadows as to the size of the samples. They came and put in the window covering and I told the installer that I could see the decorations on my wall in my yard and that I was not sure. I paid the installer the $345 that was the agreed on price. My husband went outside and I stood in the shower area and you can see shadows. I was very disappointed. I wrote to the company and their reply was "any application that would be 100% opaque would absorb too much thermal energy and crack your window." I was not told this when I explained to the salesman that I needed 100% coverage for privacy. Then they said "At this point we believe we provided you with a solution to afford privacy, light and safety to your window." They did not. You can see the shadow of a person in the shower window. They did not honestly address the issue I had needing 100% privacy. If the salesman told me there was no way to achieve 100% privacy, I would not have purchased their product. They knew that so they stretched the truth about what their product can do just to get the sale.
