    My family and friends drove all the way up from ****** to attend this event, taking the day off work and setting aside time for a day of fun together. We purchased our tickets via ******* and were eagerly anticipating the experience. Upon arriving at the event site, we were shocked to learn that the event had been cancelled last minute. We were informed that notifications should have been sent out regarding the change, but unfortunately, we received no prior communication about this cancellation. The Groupons still showed active in our account, even as we showed up at the ******** if the inconvenience of fighting traffic and traveling for hours wasnt enough, several of us had also taken off work for this event, so we are not only out the cost of our tickets and travel expenses but also the income from taking the day off for nothing. To make matters worse, while we were still at the event site speaking with the gentleman who was dismantling the attractions, we noticed several full vehicles continuing to pull in, clearly unaware of the cancellation as well. This lack of communication regarding the events status is utterly frustrating. The event was not canceled due to weather, tech complications or any other viable reason, rather because ticket sales were low, which in my opinion is not at all a justifiable excuse.On top of everything and without any communication, Groupon has initiated a refund, but only for one of the Snowfest Groupons that we purchased, not the other three. ******* is not wanting to refund the additional tickets purchased as they are now just showing as "Expired" in the app. The event was put on through a partnership between *************** and Salt River Fields and so far no one is wanting to take responsibility. At the very least I fully anticipated them offering complementary tickets for next years event or something to make things right. I've spoken with a persona at R-Entertainment and only been able to leave a VM for Salt River Fields.
