In April of 2023 I moved from a rental house to an apartment and the alarm company failed to respond to move my alarm system for over two weeks, I have the work order and texts saved. I called repeatedly & sent emails that I had a new security system when they failed to show up or call. Now over 3 years later they want 3 months back pay for the alarm system I never had installed .

I have been trying to cancel my contract with API since October 2024 because their service left a lot to be desired.. When I called in October I was told that I couldn't cancel and that I would have to pay until the end of the contract. I wasn't going to do that so I put a stop pay for the monthly fee of $44.99. On 4/15/2025 I received a bill for 5 months service. I called the customer service and was told that they didn't accept cancellations over the phone and that I needed to send an email. On April 27 I sent an email requesting a cancellation. I got an automatic reply telling me to give them 48 to 72 hours to reply. I received no reply. I sent another request on May 9 and received to same autoreply. Since that time I have had no communication regarding this problem, but I did receive another bill on May 15. This problem could have been solved if I had got the correct information in October 2024.

Start date 6/8/2019 to now; they set up alarms, including a personal one, and were supposed to take care of the equipment for their monthly fee. When a issue came up they didn't contact me to find out the problem and when batteries went out I was informed that I had to replace them or pay an extra fee for them to do it. Before my contract was up I contacted them, found out what I needed to do set them the letter telling them that I didn't want there business any longer so wasn't renewing my contract with them. The day my contract was up I called them and after trying to convince me to renew my contract, was told that since they didn't get a letter from me they had already renewed my contract. I asked what happened to the letter I sent them, the lady laughed and said I had them for at least another year. I don't want anything more to do with this company. Can you help me get out from under them?

My husband and I signed a contract with **********'s in 2019 for home monitoring. We were to receive 2 outside cameras and one ring doorbell camera, which we did receive along with installation of the equipment. We were satisfied with service for the first few years. We did have to call occasionally for trouble shooting issues due to our cameras being offline or our ring doorbell camera just not working. For the last year we have had terrible service with our cameras. My husband and i both had the app downloaded on our phones but were not able to get our cameras up to observe our home. Over the past year i have probably called them no less then 15 times asking for assistance. They would put me on hold for so long i would have to hang up and call another day. When i was able to speak with someone i could not understand what they were saying. I ask to speak to someone that speaks English and they would put me on hold again for so long i would have to hang up again. Twice i spoke with tech support and they told me my cameras were not charged when in fact they were. Several times i was told to remove the app from my phone and re-install it, which did not work either. The last time i called i spoke with someone in tech support, once again could not speak english,i was at the end of my patience. I ask to speak with someone regarding our contract. i ask how long we had left on our contract and i was told 9 months. I told them i was calling to cancel our contract due to not being able to use the outside cameras or doorbell camera. I was put on hold again for 30 minutes. I hung up and immediately called back. After pushing appropriate numbers to get to the correct department i was ask what my call was about and i said canceling my contract. I was again put on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up and called my bank and put a stop on all automatic payments. They are still sending me bills and we are still unable to see our cameras.

I contracted with Fluent Home Alarm Systems on April *******. I had a five year contract that expired on April 17, 2024. I tried contacting Fluent because I kept getting billed a monthly payment of $74.99 from our Electronic billing from our bank. I put a stop payment to the bank on The ******* because our contract was up and I had already contracted with another alarm systems company. I tried several times to Call Fluent about this billing and to make them aware my contract was fulfilled and ended. I called ************** (Fluent's phone number several times (04-23-25). When a. Representative from Fluent answered and told about the problem and if they could pull up my contract. to prove I no longer had an obligation with their company. Every time I called they told me their computers were down and they could not pull up the contract they had on file to call another time. I asked to be transferred t the billing office and when they did the phone call would bot be picked up and it went to voicemail. I left my information to contact me and they never called me back. There were times when transferred to the billing office the phone call would suddenly disconnect. I called several times for 3 months and the told me the same message that their computers were down and could not pull up my contract. So, out of my frustration that Fluent would not address my issue I sent all of my documents, copy of my contract, Letters of complaint, etc. by Fax o05/22/24. The company "Copies in a Flash" couldn't send my Fax of documents because the number the gave me ************** was a Fax. Number that was not connecting. When the Fax failed, I sent the documents by Cerified US Mail. to ***************, *******************************. Well, guess what the Certified mail was sent back to me "Return to Sender" "Unable to Forward". I still have that envelope sealed as I received it. Well, I keep getting Billed By A.P.I. Alarm ************** $74.99 every month. Have more info but no room.

Starting May 2, 2024 API has been taking ***** out of my bank account monthly. I cancelled my account with Fluent in 2022. I was in a Nursing Home recovering for 8 months and I am just now trying to catch up with reconciling my money accounts. I have tried calling and I am put on hold without anyone ever answering. This is a lot of money to me and I have no idea why they starting taking my money. At the time I cancelled, I switched to Vivint security and been pleased.

Completed contract and did not renew but API continue to take from my account. Refuse to stop payments from the account and is threatening to submit for collection if I stop payment. Also sent email to remind that I want to cancel account but states that it will take another 30 or 60 days to do so after I submit a cancelation notice.
