      I was told by my realtor that I needed to purchase individual fire protection on my newly purchased condo in AZ as it was not serviced by the city. I called Rural Metro and set up an account and was being billed $73.02 a month for 6 months. When I went to pay my annual HOA association dues, I discovered that my property is already covered for fire protection from Rural Metro under the HOA policy. I received a copy of the billing statement from my HOA and my property address is clearly stated under the HOA policy as being covered. Rural Metro did not inform me when I set up my account that this address was already covered. I cancelled my policy immediately but was told by the customer service agent that there are no refunds. I am seeking a refund of the $438.12 that I paid them for essentially nothing. The fact that they did not tell me my property was already covered and charged me anyway is THEFT.
