      My son is going on a mission for our church. Based on the medical information he submitted, the medical group of our church advised him that he needed a yellow fever vaccine. He made an appointment to get the vaccine from Passport Health. However, when he got there, they charged him for an office visit because he did not have a prescription. I called Passport Health to try to get a resoltuion and the person I talked to gave me story about how they also had to counsel him about staying safe when traveling abroad, which was not necessary--my church sends ****** missionaries out each year and will give him all the information my son needs to be safe. Looking at their form, if they were going to charge for anything, it should only have been for the specific vaccine he was getting (only $53 compared to $124 for an office visit). As part of the office visit, they tried to tell him to get a bunch of additional vaccines for more than $1000 dollars. In other words, they charged him $124 to listen to their sales pitch. This seems blatantly unethical.I would like a refund of the full $124.

      Called passport hearth to receive yellow fever shot for upcoming trip.spoke on the phone to make appointment was told that they dont go through insurance company. I asked what price would be was told 124dollars and if another person was getting shot it would be 94 dollars for them.called back again to find out what form of payment would be required was told credit card would work also went over cost again and was quoted same as above but this time was told if medical questionar was filled out on line each person would receive 25 dollars back for each filled out form.forms were filled out online.we get to appointment and was told ***** would be 968 dollars denied services and was still charged 168 dollars would like refund also the way they do business seems to get u there with one quote and then tell u its 800 dollars more and bill u either way even after u refuse service. Thank u in advance for looking into matter

      Our client services team reviewed both of your calls and determine that the agent to whom you talked to clearly explained the office visit fee, vaccine pricing, that insurance was not accepted and the potential for a discount for completing the specific paperwork prior to the time of your appointment. You acknowledged and accepted all of the above and provided your contact and payment information to book the appointment. A refund will not be processed in this case.
