    I checked into this inn for one night only, as I was from out of town for medical services adjacent to **********************At about 830pm, I left the room to borrow a kitchen gadget at the front desk. When I returned to my room, my key card would not open the door.**I returned to the front desk, the one person on duty recoded it. I returned to my room. It did not work.**I returned to the front desk, same front desk guy gave me two new ones. I returned to my room. Neither of them worked **I returned to the front desk, same front desk guy came back to my room with me with the master key. It did not work.**He determined that I had been assigned a room that had been flagged "for maintenance," and that I would have to wait until check out when maintenance arrived to get out all my belongings which included:****my wallet ****my car keys ****my medication ****everything else I packed for one night stay before my medical appointment.**I told him this was unacceptable and to please call emergency maintenance. He refused.** told him I wanted to speak to his manager. He said no one was available to speak with me until 11pm. He said he would give me another room.**I said to him: Is the expectation that I'm supposed to break into my own hotel room in order to get my car keys, mywallet, my meds and my other valuables? I can't even check into a different hotel.**His repeated response was: You do what you feel you need to do. Please understand I have to do MY job.This was insane and I had never even heard of anyone being treated this way by a hotel. They had charged me a total of $240 for that night. I sat in a restaurant nearby trying to reach anyone at ANY number on their website. I only got automated for both "new" and "existing" reservations which said to call the same front desk for assistance. Much later, I managed to get outside help to get into my room (for which now I had NO key) and remove my things so that I could get to my appointment.
