As a contractor, I have found QuickBooks to be a less than ideal choice for managing finances due to several significant drawbacks, particularly in relation to their transaction fees and customer service. One of the most frustrating aspects of using QuickBooks as a contractor is the astronomical transaction fees they charge. These fees can quickly add up, significantly impacting your bottom line. What makes matters worse is that the fees are not transparently explained, and understanding how they are applied can be a daunting task. QuickBooks' customer service falls short in providing clear and helpful explanations, leaving users feeling frustrated and confused about the charges they incur.Another issue I've encountered with QuickBooks is the inconsistency in their transaction fees. The charges for each deposit can vary dramatically, ranging anywhere from $10 to an astonishing $90. Such unpredictable fluctuations make it difficult to anticipate and budget for these expenses effectively, creating unnecessary financial strain for contractors.Considering the importance of managing finances efficiently as a contractor, QuickBooks' high transaction fees and lackluster customer service make it a less-than-ideal choice. Contractors need a reliable and transparent system that allows them to track their income and expenses accurately without being burdened by exorbitant fees. While QuickBooks may offer some useful features for general accounting purposes, its suitability for contractors is questionable due to the aforementioned issues. In conclusion, if you are a contractor searching for a financial management solution, I advise caution when considering QuickBooks. Its astronomical transaction fees, lack of clarity surrounding fee application, and fluctuating charges make it a less-than-optimal choice. Exploring alternative platforms that cater specifically to contractors' needs may provide a more seamless and cost-effective experience.

Quickbooks is the worse company in the history of the world!!!!! They don't deserve even 1 star!!!! They have the worst customer service I have ever in my life experienced. The agents don't know their job, they keep you on hold forever! And you end up on the call for hours and when they continue to be UNABLE to answer your questions, they put you on hold again and then hang up! The supervisors are just as incompetent! They know nothing either about their own f****** software! I am beyond disappointed, They will lie to you, and overcharge you and yet don't know s*** about the software! STAY FAR AWAY FROM QUICKBOOKS, THEY ARE A SCAM! Everyone there are fraud! I repeat, They don't know anything about the software yet they call themselves "Quickbooks Experts" That's a lie!!! RUN!

Warning: QuickBooks will be, I repeat, the worst decision you can ever make. Let me tell you about the chargebacks. It's simple: they side with the banks and dont even make an attempt to fight back on improper decisions. I had a client who claimed she didnt receive her goods. When I was asked to show proof to the bank, I submitted the invoice from QuickBooks showing where she still owed a balance on the invoice. They went on to say, "It is not our problem; it is the bank's fault." I asked the bank, and they said it is QuickBooks that handles the case. I called their support team, and they absolutely lied to me, saying, "We will escalate this." Another told me, "QuickBooks doesnt really care; you need to deal with that client yourself." Another rep said, "Let me pay you $100 for the time wasted on the phone with us." I would be aware. I have already made a switch because you cant trust a company like this one.

They sent a receipt for $199 but I have been using their chat for OVER 1 year now and the tech tells me he will advise the billing **** and I should have it in 2 days. Ive been told that many times. I have come to absolutely loathe Quickbooks and as soon as I can find a solution to get my information out after 14 years of business, I will leave them forever and never look back. They have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with such. They have wasted so many hours of my time with incompetence, intentional waste of time, lying, and absolutely no idea what they are doing. All of the people I have got on the phone with every number they have given me have been this way. They put you on hold asking for 1-2 minutes and then are gone for up to *************************************************************** ability to solve. They tell you they will not and can not give you their name, employee number, they can't transfer you to a Supervisor, they can't escalate any call. You are basically just out of luck or help with Quickbooks. If I could give them a negative 5 stars - I would!
