    My husband and I were lured into going to a Travel Membership presentation at ************* Sunset resort on 9/17/2024. We were on vacation at its sister resort, ***************************** from 9/16/2024 to 9/20/2024 in ******************* ******. We are retired senior citizens. **** ****** was the sales agent and ***** ****** handled the membership contract. The concept is like Expedia where you book your hotel/cruise travels by paying about $10,000 in total membership fees, but bookings are subjected to availability. We were served alcoholic drinks at the presentation so my husband and I were drunk and did not have clear minds upon signing the contract. We asked **** ****** and ***** ****** if there were any customer complaints with the travel membership. Both of them said no, so we signed the contract on 9/17/2024. We put down 2 deposits: $599 for the cruise membership; and $1572 for the hotel bookings. When we returned to our hotel, we did our due diligence to check on the legitimacy of Pueblo Bonito business. We were shocked to find out over 50+ complaints were filed even at BBB that this business is fraudulent, a scam, customers paid astronimical fees for bookings that were hard to reserve due to unavailabilities. We canceled the membership on 9/17/2024 via e-mail to **** ****** and ***** ******. Due to their inaction to my requests for cancelation of the contract, we have sent several e-mails to the referenced staff. Now, ***** ******* e-mailed me on 11/22/2025 that to cancel the contract, we have to pay $4,454.00. They also billed me $8,908 for the remaining balance of the membership as a loan. We did not agree to any of these. This business is playing hard ball with us, continually evading our cancelation requests. Before a new victim fall into this scam and scheme lije us, please help us get our refund of $2,171 according to the 5-day Mexican Law to rescind contract and get our deposit refund. This people are so hard to deal with. Thanks.
