Best Single Travel is now located in *************. It was taken over by the sister of the deceased owner. It is not an organized or responsive agency. they hire inexperienced travel leaders who are not helpful in a crisis and are not organized. Because of their inefficiency I was forced to stay in another hotel the first night after arrival in ******* after 30 hours of travel. They did not have the reservations under my correct name or the current name of owner. They made no attempts to help me with a lost phone (for over 11 days) or make the trip better for me. The tour leader appeared to get a free trip with no assistance to her group or knowledge of cruise ships or the tours themselves. I do not recommend this group for vulnerable seniors or anyone that might have an emergency on a trip. It was my worst trip in 45 years of traveling.

We are not located in ************* as you are stating and the sister of the deceased owner did not take over the business either. You signed up for a shared pre-night hotel room and changed your mind 3 days before the trip started. You notified Best Single Travel that you wanted a single room and not a shared one. ****** immediately contacted the hotel and was told that there were no rooms available. She then called their corporate office and they were able to move people around for you to have your own room. Due to the fact that this was a weekend, they did not notify the hotel directly to give them this information. She submitted a list of the names spelled correctly to the hotel. Our hostess was eating dinner with the group at their optional Welcome Dinner. You also went to the restaurant with the group, but you decided to walk back to the hotel by yourself. When you got back to your room, your original roommate was sleeping. You chose to leave the hotel and go elsewhere. If you would have waited for the group to return, our hostess would have had everything straightened out for you. The group returned from dinner at 9:30pm. We paid extra money, which we did not charge you for to get your own room pre-night. Yes, you lost your cell phone. Our hostess let you use her cell phone to contact your family back in the states. She also made sure that you got to the media mart to purchase an IPad for communication back home which we were told you also lost. You neglected to state that you also lost your passport at one of the ports of call from the ship. Our hostess made sure that you and everyone else had the proper documentations to get back home. To state that our hostess is inexperienced is a complete outrage. She helped you in numerous situations. Our tours are not private tours. They are group tours and she catered to everyone in the group. Hotel rooms out of the US are not big. They expect people to go out and enjoy their country, not stay in the room. You also decided 2 weeks before the cruise departed, that you wanted a bigger room. Our office had to work diligently with the sold out ship, to accommodate your wishes. After several phone calls with you and the cruise line, we were able to switch rooms around to appease you. We always strive to make our clients happy and to give them the best traveling experience.
