    We had a 4-hour atv rental on Sunday, April 23, 2023. After 3 hours in the trail area, the drive belt of the atv broke. The company had to send a mechanic out with a replacement vehicle and we returned to the shop. This business insisted on charging ** $200 for a drive belt replacement after stating that the belt has a lifespan of ***** miles. They refused to provide maintenance records stating when the drive belt had last been replaced and cited the contract stating that drive belt replacement due to high way driving was our responsibility. We never drove on the highway and followed their directions to the off-road site. They could not provide any evidence that we had driven on the highway. There is no sufficient evidence that this coming any properly maintains their vehicles, rather than waiting for them to fail to charge the unfortunate customer of the day.

    We apologize that you did not have a good experience.  The reason you were charged for the belt is that not only where you reported by locals for driving recklessly, you had a 4 hour rental and did twice the trails that are covered in that amount done in that amount of time. This excessive speeding would defiantly cause a drive belt to break.

    These are directly from the contract that you signed before leaving.

    5. DAMAGES CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT. I understand and agree that: 
    a. I will check-in (return) the vehicle in the EXACT same condition it was upon check-out (pickup). NOTE:  acceptable tire tread-wear is expected, however, excessive wear or damage will be charged. Drive belt  breakage is considered damage.  

    NO WARRANTY INHERENTLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY NO INSURANCE PROVIDED 
    Outfitter makes no warranty of any kind, nature or description, express or implied, as to the quality and  manufacture, safety, drivability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any vehicle or equipment covered by this  agreement. I, the undersigned, accept any vehicle or other equipment provided by Outfitter in its as is  condition with all faults.

    All of our vehicles are regularly maintained and demanding records onsite is unreasonable.
