    Business Response

This vehicle was brought in by a employee of one of our part suppliers, *************************. He said that he believed that there was an issue with the transmission, and we confirmed that the transmissions was not functional. We recommended removing the transmission for inspection so that we could determine parts and pricing for a transmission rebuild. The customer declined our offer because he wanted to purchase his own transmission and parts to try to save money. We explained that we usually don't use customer supplied parts but because of our relationship with his employer we would do this for him as a favor. We also explained that we do not warranty parts that are provided by the customer. We gave him a labor only quote of $1,486.48 to remove his old transmission and install the valve body and transmission he provided. When he brought the transmission to us to install, we checked it out and noticed that the code was different. We told him it was not compatible with his vehicle and it may not work. He told us that he did research online and that this would work and he wanted us to install it. Once it was installed, it did not work. We offered to start over and rebuild his existing transmission but he declined. Due to our policy of not providing a ******************* supplied parts, he is not *********** a refund.
