08/2024, I brought my 2014 Mustang GT to Midas on Broadway, Tempe, to replace two new Cat Converters. It was agreed prior, that Magnaflow Direct Fit parts will be installed. This was confirmed several times by ****** (the Manager at the time) that Magnaflow was installed as promised and what I paid for. I have since found that the part was not a Magnaflow (nor an AP-Eastern as the Owner **** ******* in a very recent phone conversation said was installed), but instead Cat Converters likely to be for a ******. On one of my first returns to Midas, ****** lifted the car at which time I noticed downstream from the Cat Converters that a 12 inch piece of pipe was cut out of my car and a new one welded on. There should NOT have been any cutting of any pipes or welding on my car as I stressed to ****** ***** to service. I paid $2,678.19 for Magnaflow Direct Fit parts, with no welding and did not get that. After the new cat converters were installed, the check engine light continued to appear every other week with the Code P0420/P0430. During the 5 times I returned to Midas for these codes, there was no testing, re-diagnosing or even looking the car over, except resetting the codes. I filed a complaint with the **************** in 10/2024. No response. I called in 11/2024 and 12/24 to find out why no call. In 02/2025, I finally received a call from owner **** ******* and requested the monies paid for the parts/work Midas performed be returned as the agreed Magnaflow Direct Fit parts were not installed and consisted of welding which I stressed beforehand I did not want. He was argumentative and insisted I bring my car in for diagnosis, clear the codes and to bring it back if the check engine light reappears. I have done that several time since 08/24, with no results/repair as for check engine light staying off. After a long conversation, Mr. ******* agreed to refund my $2,678.19 and then reneged on that a week later.

I went to Midas on 11/06/2023 to get alignment done on my ***** Civic as I have always done. Then they did an overall inspection of my car as usual with every visit, but I was pulled into the back and the bigger employee with tattoo sleeves sat me down trying to discount my alignment if I agreed to do over $2500 in repairs to my vehicle that same day.Whether I truly needed them or not, I was not 100% sure because I am not knowledgeable with cars. But, I felt extremely uncomfortable being pushed to pay over two grand in fixes that I did not come in for.Consequently, my car broke down in less than a week and it is in a deplorable condition and this is because Midas had replaced my good f subframe & control arm with ball joint with a used and faulty one. I know this because I brought in a ***** specialized mechanic to my apartment where the car is parked and un-drivable. He advised that I do whatever is legally possible to get my $2599.99 back.Midas lied to me and had me sign the receipt and now I'm down $2599.99.Midas lied to me about what was wrong with my car and stole $2599.99 from me.This is the least transparent anyone has ever been after doing work on my car.
