      We paid them over 70K for a construction project up front and there has been no real work done. Its been almost 2 years since we first signed the contract. In their contract, they intentionally left the start date out so they could keep you waiting. And if you want to cancel the contract, they would charge you a great amount of money and you could not back it out. This is definitely a scam. There have been several online reviews with similar complaints. You can easily found them in *******

      In August 2022, I entered into a contract with Bjelde Construction to design and build a pool house. The estimated cost was $106,000. Per the contract, I paid them $27,000 up-front to start the project. I paid $3,839.60 for architecture services. I also paid Bjelde Electric $3,600 as down payment to do an electrical panel upgrade with a total estimated cost of $7,200. Plans were drafted and approved by me in October. The electric panel upgrade was approved by APS in October and municipal pemits approved. The panel was not installed due to a conflict in scheduling. Between April 1, 2023 and August 6, various plans were submitted to the ***************. Some were returned to Bjelde for corrections. Two corrections were approved by the city in May. The City's online tracking system still shows most of the plans needing corrections.I contacted the company's office on several occasions in the past 3 months to check on the status of the corrections. They have ignored my voice messages, texts, and emails. I called the architect, ***********************, directly on September 21st. He acknowledged that there was an engineering correction needed and that he would discuss it with the engineer and would get back with me the next day with an update. He didn't. I called him again on October 3rd, and he texted, "I'll call you later." He didn't. I called and texted him again on October 23rd, to which he texted back that he was in a conference until 2p.m. and he would call me around 2. He didn't. The *** website states, " We ensure your construction project kickstarts and ends without a hitch; we protect your interests every step of the way." And, "Building ****************** As a trusted and reliable design and construction management service provider, we pay attention to our clients' budgets or help them establish one. *************** has a reputation for achieving projects on time and within budget."This is certainly not the service Bjelde has provided to me on my project.

      On 6/17/22, I signed a contract with Bjelde Construction for a kitchen remodel at my home. I have paid over $15,000, to date, for the contracted scope of work. The project scope of work included, demolishing my old kitchen, upgrading the electrical panel and adding outlets, installing lights, installing new appliances that I purchased and installing a new sink, countertops, cabinets, painting, backsplash, etc. The demolition of the kitchen, which occurred in April, included removing the stove, microwave oven, and cabinets from our family home's kitchen-as well as removing a portion of the kitchen ceiling exposing the room to the attic (through the hot Summer) and letting insulation and dust fall into our kitchen. Bjelde never offered to cover the ceiling. Per Section 8 of the contract, the time to completion of the project after Start Date was to be 6 - 8 weeks. I paid the Start Date construction draw in mid April, over 5 months ago.Bjelde has failed to perform according the contract in the following ways:-No cabinets have been purchased or installed -No repair of the kitchen ceiling has occurred -No installation of the new kitchen sink or backsplash tile has taken place -No installation of the electrical outlets have taken place -No removal of the popcorn ceiling in the dining room has occurred -No installation of the new lighting in the kitchen has happened -No repair or repainting of the kitchen walls has taken place -No installation of the new pre-purchased appliances has occurred -No effort has been made to temporarily correct the dangerous issue of leaving the ceiling open and having exposed wires in the kitchen area -Bjelde Construction does not regularly communicate with me -Bjelde Construction has not provided an accurate work schedule Despite filing a complaint with the *********************** of Contractors, Bjelde Construction still has not contacted me regarding their failure to perform work, as contracted and paid for.
