      Business Response

      Date: 11/10/2023

The complainant is alleging that the firearm they bought (and inspected at time of purchase) was used. The *** required chain of custody records say otherwise (and prove unequivocally that it is in fact, new), but the complainant has become hostile in our interactions and attempts to educate and prove this to him. He is no longer welcome at our place of business due to his treatment of employees. We wish him the best but he will not be receiving a refund/exchange or other compensation as all firearms sales are final (as posted on the door, sign in the business and on the receipts) due to the very chain of custody rules referenced above.

      Respectfully,

      ******* (*****************************************)

The firearm was sold as new as stated by by ******* associates but upon opening the box at home, found it was used and mishandled, likely due to improper training on the stores fault. I called the shop no more than 20 mins after purchase and was the associate knew there was an issue. A offer of a box of ammo was proposed to keep the gun but that's not acceptable.

This firearm needs to be replaced or exchanged. That is the only reasonable solution.

      Business Response

The customer bought three firearms from ** over the period of 8 months with no complaints on the first two. On the third firearm he inspected it in store, and due to federal regulations was aware of the store/industry policy (through sign on the door upon entry, sign on wall, and disclaimer on docs), that all firearms sales are final.

Despite us providing contact information for the distributor and manufacturer and the extreme regulation and chain of custody tracking in the firearms industry by the **** the customer has made the assertion that this firearm is used (which it is not). He has made the unreasonable demand to return all 3 firearms, including 2 purchased many months ago. We offered to assist the customer with RMA/exchange/repair efforts with the manufacturer (that is how firearms issues are handled in this industry) and he has refused. He continually escalated his mistreatment of employees and is no longer welcome in the establishment or PD will be called due to his erratic behavior.

Initially much of his assertion of it being used was due to it having been fired; it was explained to the customer that all firearms are fired by the manufacturer during quality control which shifted his assertion to markings on the firearm. Unfortunately this isn't uncommon and happens more often on ***************** (which this is).

We are not BBB members, but try to treat every customer properly (as evidenced by being the highest rated ******** gun store in *******. To be explicit, he will not receive a refund, an exchange or any other compensation for his false claims regardless of BBB decision. We will happily put him in touch (again) with the manufacturer and the distributor who can validate that the firearm was new; to date this has not satisfied his false claims.

*******'s statements are 100% false which proves he is not concerned about his customers or takes a moment to review real time complaints. I purchased two guns on the same day. Not three, not two over 8 months, two the same day.

This spiteful little guy clearly does not understand business or customer satisfaction as it clearly shows in lack of supporting evidence.

The gun may not have been resold as new but was clearly used and mishandled during the two years he and his shop possessed the firearm.

This BBB review of 1 star will stand, every other review and more to come will stand. The court case I'm filling when I'm done reviewing this nasty shop will stand, and I'll win.

Pride does not dictate height or being correct *******, you are wrong and you simply refuse to acknowledge it.
