Russett installed both of my Heat Pumps and Air Handlers back in 2014 when they were a customer service company. They had major problems from the start by installing the wrong model of Air Handler on one unit. Then later one of the ***** burned up the mother board, and other over filled the R410A and then other had to remove it. They had to replace one of the inside coils and one of the Heat Pumps because they were leaking.***** started doing my twice-yearly maintenance and thing was going OK for the last few years. However, this last year ****** has moved from a ************************ to a ************************ and ***** has stopped doing customer maintenance. ***** suggested that **** was a great Tech. As it turns out **** had NO idea of what he was doing and called ***** for instruction when he couldn't find any problems.Russett company that installed my 2 Heat Pumps and Air Handlers in 2014 came out last week for my summer maintenance. They said that my systems was not working properly but they could not identify any problems. They suggested that I pay them $ 600 to come back and do a leak test, they also suggested that I needed to replace the 2 inside coils at $ ******, and R410a at $ 210 per pound. They said that it would take at least 6 pounds of R410a. I said no thanks. I then went looking for other vendors to look at my systems. Yelp send me a list of 5 or 6 and I call some from the radio.**** from Renewal Roofing and Air gave me the best quote for R410a. Some would not quote it, and others wanted from $ 75 per pound to one that just said they don't sell it by the pound, a recharge is just $ 1400 to $ 1800 per system.**** came out and found a leak in my main system in about ************************************************************* 2014 and was now leaking. This was all done for less than $1,500 compared to Russett's over $ ******.

We at Russett Southwest strive to create an exceptional customer experience, and despite numerous attempts have been unable to contact Mr. ********** At our last routine service visit, our technician discussed the age, condition and lack of efficiency with Mr. ********* and offered several options to him, including repairs and/or replacement. Customer declined all options that were provided. We have tried to contact Mr. ********* in order to discuss his other options and perhaps offer a refund, but he has not responded to our attempts at reconciling this situation. Russett Southwest prides itself on Service with Integrity since 1947, and have made a good faith attempt to contact Mr. ********* with no results. When he reaches out to us, we will be happy to work with him on resolving his issues.

I would give zero stars if possible. I contacted the company on 4/11/25 because my AC was not cooling. They sent a person out early 4/12/25. I was quoted a $99 service call. Almost immediately the tech said the unit was old and needed to be replaced. Without my permission he installed two parts which did not fix the problem. He presented a bill for $900. When I complained he said he could remove the parts he installed, which he did. He upset me with his attitude and hard sell, but I should not have paid the $602 for 2hours of service...service to install parts I did not agree to nor did they fix the problem. BASICALLY, I WAS CHARGED FOR PARTS I DID NOT REQUEST NOR DID THEY FIX THE PROBLEM.I sent an email to the company and they have not had the courtesy or good business sense to even respond to me. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INCOMPETENT, QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES.

I called this company an 05/16/2024 because my ** failed, they checked the ** and informed me on the phone that the fan stopped and we need to replace fan and capacitor. They charge me $430.00 but they only changed my capacitor, a couple of hours later my ** failed again and I called them back, they informed me that i need to replace the motor, I told them that I was thought the fan was just installed, they informed me that only the capacitor was replaced, they charged me an additional $422 dollars including a discount for having to come a 2nd time for the same problem. The next day I talked to the Manager and he offered to refund a few few dollars, I was very upset and he agreed to reimburse $342.00 for the parts only I end up paying $510.00 for a fan motor and a capacitor. The first technician was very dishonest and took advantage that i was not in the house to charge me $430 for a capacitor.I don't trust this company, check parts cost online to see if they are being fair to you and check that they really install the new parts before they leave. The manager should remove the entire cost of the firs visit since they really abuse of me.If possible use a different company.

Russett was called as Air conditioner not working properly June 16,2022. Said I needed new start capacitor. They had replaced this item in March 2022. Came back June 17th and did work Still not working AC. Mentioned need new AC. Temperature outside 100plus.Late on 17th Russett sent me the estimate for approval of replacement of Unit. $10,117.50. I have had maintenance agreement with Russet since 2015. Came twice a year. I did not approve the estimate. Suffered through weekend and called ***************** and Heating. They came right out on June 20th. The technician found disconnect to condenser. Basically, turned off. Found fault on control board so re-set board and unit came on and stayed on while all pressures checked, and coolant checked. Technician stayed for 45 mins to make sure all okay and still is running perfectly. It is obvious to me. a homeowner in my 90's, that ****** was trying to take advantage of **** asked for partial reimbursement of my yearly contract for 2 check-*** since I only had one and wanted to cancel the contract, they refused. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. I knew not to sign contract without a second opinion.

Regarding the service call performed on 5/16/2024 at **********************************. The first technician for the diagnostic call found a defective fan/compressor capacitor. Our technician contacted the homeowner (*********************), with a price on replacing the capacitor at the price of $342.00. The customer agreed on the repair and our technician proceeded to replace the defective part and check the operations of the system with the outdoor motor operational. Later that same evening the customer called indicating that the **** system was not working again. We dispatched another technician to find out why the system was not working. The second technician found a defective outdoor fan motor. Our technician called the customer informing the customer of the defective outdoor motor and the cost of replacement at a discounted rate of $422.00 from the original price of $765.00 for the inconvenience. The customer approved the replacement of the outdoor fan motor. The customer spoke with our service manager and voiced his concerns about his bill. Our service manager was able to reimburse the customer on the cost of the fan/motor capacitor (-$342.00) for the inconvenience. The homeowner did agree the reimbursement and discounted service was fair at that point with the customer only paying for the fair amount of $510.00 total for the job completed. We do feel like we were fair and just in agreement on the work performed for our customer.
