Worse company! No ethics at all! Double charged me and so hard to get a refund, they wanted to keep it as a credit, then the second year another double charge, and every year they increased the price, nothing like what they promised when we were signing up. Scam! I doubt they really keep our cord blood there now! Heard too many people can't even use it when they need it!

Keep raising annual storage fees without any email or notice. Initially when I signed up the amount was fixed and may increase minimally. Its now almost close to double from when I started. Feels more like a scam versus a service.

Not sure what to make of this company after reading about complaints filed. Been storing since 2000s. Originally signed up for "lock in price" for a set number of years. Now they want a price increase. But before the annual due date, I can choose 18-yr storage at the current storage rate, or lifetime storage for a onetime lump sum price. On the phone they stated that the 18 years option is not available to me. (The lifetime storage quote was $1200++ more than the 18 year pricing). Then they stated that they could give me "special pricing" for lifetime storage since we have been clients. However, that deal "won't be available or listed online under my account." I must "call in" and speak with a representative. I requested an email stating all of the aforementioned conditions. I have not received any documentation about the various pricing that was discussed .My spiny senses are on high alert. Have read numerous BBB complaints over the years. Does any entity provide oversight?

I totally agree that the whole thing is a scam. I will not be surprised if people will not be able to retrieve their stem cells, when needed. I paid for 3 kids. They kept hiking the yearly fees. We decided to cancel the services. Had numerous calls, they keep billing us. In my latest email exchange they said that they will keep our accounts open and will keep billing us, regardless of our requests to close accounts. They threatened to send "dues" to collection and ruin my credit history. I think they are long overdue for a class action lawsuit.

I was offered cord blood collection for my son's cord blood for 5 years for free because eof his diagnosis. They said it might help in future issues he may have. So of course, it being free, I said okay. The paperwork and email state that after 5 years I could sign up and pay for family banking. I never did, because we do not need it anymore. But since then they continue to call me, email me, and tell me now after a few years I owe all this money for not paying after the free 5 years. I never agreed to any of that and never signed up for paid "family banking" . I'm still waiting for the closure and cancellation form they are supposedly going to email me....This company is a scam. Buyer beware. Never give them your credit card.

Do not use this company. Read the complaints, which point to significant scamming by this company, even years later. Specifically, they communicated to us when our child turned 18 that the account would no longer be billed automatically, so if we wished to maintain our account, we would need to pay manually or the account would be canceled. We declined to pay and assumed the account was canceled. Out of the blue we received a letter in the mail billing us for the last four years. When I contacted them online, I received an email noting that because the account was overdue, I needed to call and pay over the phone. Um, no. NOTE to BBB: After chatting with a representative, I attempted to file a complaint about this company, at the agent's recommendation. Whenever I click on the link to File a Complaint, however, I keep getting a message that the page doesn't exist.
