During May of 2022 I took Scuba Diving lessons from ***** ****. My greatest concern is I am 1/2 Japanese and publicly on Facebook, ***** referred to me as "************." As many know, Asians in the US were stigmatized by the persecution associated with ************. Its similar to the association some bigots have with COVID. I find this highly hurtful and would like the post removed. There were several issues with his instruction that had me concerned. While ***** gave me a 50% refund, I am erquesting a full refund since his training involved several safety issues. 1. We had an air out situation with one of the students 5 minutes into the dive. ***** blamed it on the student in front of us. I think it is important that an instructor be aware of their student's equipment regardless of the courseust my humble opinion. 2. We spent two days trying to adjust my trim. ***** refused to adjust the ban level. Jds on my tank even though I suspected this was the issue. After consulting with a competing dive shop, the issue was the band adjustment. I had perfect trim on my first day with TDI after I fired *****. ***** wasted 2 days trying to adjust my trim, when the was easily resolve by any competent instructor. 3. He insisted the wing I was using was appropriately sized, despite me telling him it wasn't keeping me at the surface despite being completely full of air. Again, a competing dive shop told me the wing ***** recommended was undersized. 4. ***** has a listening issue. There are no adult learning principles in his instructor style. The above two issues are the result of this issue. 5. He conducted some of his lessons without using a dive flag. 6. Since I filed a Quality Assurance report on ***** with PADI, he has publicly harassed me for doing so. This is highly unprofessional and should be addressed. See his post on this link. *************************************************

I have not heard from them. The racial slur is still posted on Facebook.

    Best regards, ****
