We are filing a formal complaint against Sunblaze Solar for misrepresentation and deceptive business practices related to the sale and financing of a solar panel system at our home.Sunblaze assured usboth verbally and in writingthat the loan would be fully transferable to any future homeowner. This promise was repeated and documented in the proposal and invoice at the time of *********** experienced solar homeowners, we specifically asked about loan transferability and were clearly told it could be assumed by a future buyer. We relied on that assurance when deciding to proceed with the system and Sunblaze-arranged financing through Mosaic and **********************We now know, nearly four years later, that this representation was false and materially misleading. ******** has since confirmed that they no longer support loan transfers at all leaving us in a position where our home is encumbered by an untransferable lien that directly ***** our ability to sell the property. This misrepresentation by Sunblaze Solar amounts to:Deceptive sales practices and misrepresentation Failure to disclose material facts regarding loan terms Negligent or intentional inducement into an unmarketable financing product A potential violation of state consumer protection laws Sunblaze Solar was the direct party responsible for communicating the terms of the solar system and its financing. Regardless of their relationship to Mosaic or Connexus, Sunblaze bears responsibility for ensuring that information provided to customers, especially related to long-term financial obligations, is accurate, complete, and not misleading. We are seeking:We are seeking a written resolution from Sunblaze, including either (1) assistance in securing refinancing with a new lender for potential buyers under the same original terms1.9% interest over 20 yearsor (2) a full refund of all amounts we have paid toward the solar system, due to the false representation and resulting financial harm.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/08/2025

****** has been one of the leading suppliers of consumer solar installation financing in the **************  We have worked with several similar companies in the past several years and only pass on the information on the terms and interest rates to interested customers.  Each customer completes an application process, and if they are approved, they read through and sign off on all loan terms with whom they selected for financing.  Customers are free to retain our contacting services with any lender they select, or pay us with cash.

We actually don't ever see the customer's loan application nor final loan agreement documents, as the loan is between the customer and the lender.  We just receive confirmation that their loan is approved and we can move forward with installation with the assurance that we will be paid an agreed to amount upon proof of completion.  We do not accept responsibility for the shortcomings of any lender, as we are responsible only for the quality, safety, and performance of the installation of the solar system.

Ms. ****** also filed complaints with the ******************************** (***) and the Attorneys General Office.  The *** has already dismissed her claim against us, and we have filed a rebuttal with the AG's Office.

With the addition of our voice as an advocate for ****************** has since acknowledged the claim and has indicated that they are working to resolve the matter with their borrower (see attached email received from ****************).

      Respectfully submitted,

**** ******, owner and general manager

      Rebuttal to Sunblaze Solars BBB *****************start="167" data-end="170">Complainant: ***** ******
      Company: Sunblaze Solar
We respectfully submit this rebuttal to Sunblaze Solars response, which fails to adequately address the core issue: that Sunblaze materially misrepresented the transferability of the solar loan during the sales process and documented this misrepresentation in writing, causing direct financial harm.
      1. Misrepresentation is Documented in Writing
Sunblazes invoice (attached) clearly and unambiguously states:
      Financing: Mosaic 25 year 1.99% **************************start="714" data-end="717"> Sunblaze Invoice #**** dated 9/2/2021
This language was not a paraphrase, estimate, or marketing generalityit was a specific, written representation by Sunblaze that the Mosaic loan would be transferable, and it became a material term of the agreement on which we relied in choosing this product and proceeding with installation.
      2. Sunblazes Attempt to Deflect Responsibility Is Legally and Ethically Insufficient
Sunblaze now claims they are "not the bank" and are not responsible for the loan terms, despite having explicitly communicated them in both oral and written forms. Their April 2025 email response from General Manager **** ****** contradicts their current statement, by affirming:
All Mosaic loans are assumable to home buyers who qualify to the same credit standards
      Email from **** ******, April 28, 2025
Yet we now have written confirmation from Mosiac/********************* that loan assumption is no longer permitted, regardless of buyer creditworthinessrendering the representation by Sunblaze false at the time of sale or recklessly misleading.
Sunblazes role was not limited to installation. They were the originating point of contact for the financing, the party who obtained and relayed terms to us, and the company we trusted to represent the features of the loan.
      3. Sunblazes ********************************** Harm
Due to this false promise of transferability:
We are now burdened with a lien that cannot be assumed by a buyer.
This directly undermines our ability to sell our home.
It has impaired our property value and forced us to consider costly alternatives.
      4. Dismissal by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors Is Irrelevant
The ***'s jurisdiction is limited to workmanship and contractor licensingnot consumer fraud or misrepresentation in sales or financing. Therefore, their dismissal has no bearing on this matter. Additionally, they told us they could not pursue given their jurisdiction is limited by 2 years and we fell out of that.

      Requested Resolution
We maintain our original request for a written resolution from Sunblaze that includes either:
      Assistance in securing buyer financing with similar terms (i.e., 1.99% over 25 years);
      OR
A full refund of all payments made toward the solar system due to the materially false representation.
If unresolved, we will consider further legal remedies under Arizonas Consumer Fraud Act (A.R.S. *******), which prohibits deception, fraud, and misrepresentation in the sale or advertisement of any merchandiseincluding solar systems and their financing. Additionally, we have already started to consult with attornies who have assured us that we have a case.
