    I entered into a contract with Polaris Drafting & Design Inc. on 3-30-2021 to have it design a new custom home. After being presented pages of the drawings along the way has payments were being made we thought everything was looking ok. When the final payment was made so the remaining pages could be released to me along with the file I discovered numerous errors such that the plan was not submittal ready for the county. When I pointed this out the Manager ******** ****** I was told the other employee **** had quit and that I should go after him to have my plan modified. I was able to get **** to make some of the minor changes but there are critical roofing and framing flaws / lack of details he never addressed. Essentially I have a plan that the home we desire cannot be built from. We have been cheated and will have to seek extensive revision / essentially starting from scratch to have a new drafter build us an acceptable plan. The total we paid for a unusable / incomplete plan was $17,789.39.

    Please read your signed contract. Just to be clear, you are asking me to make changes to the structural details and not have an engineer restamp the plans? If so I will need you to put that in writing. I also will require a certified letter stamped by a notary stating that Polaris Drafting is not liable for any thing if requested changes are made and any and all issues. Polaris Drafting will only make changes as required by the municipality. As stated plans are ready for submission to the municipality. All further request for changes must come from them. In the event that they require structural changes, the plans will have to be reviewed and stamped by an engineer and it is the owners responsibility for payments to engineer.
