      On August 20, 2019, we had our first termite inspection and treatment conducted by AMA Exterminating.On September 30, 2021, AMA Exterminating performed termite mitigation services around the house. At around 3:10 p.m., the technician ****** offered to increase the warranty to 5 years for a total cost of $1,125. The agreement was executed at that time upon payment and with my signature and the signature of the *** employee. In honor of this agreement, *** responded to treat reappearances of termites in January 2022 and in January and March 2023. At some point in 2023 or 2024, ***************** was bought by Responsible Pest Control. On October 17, 2023, two Responsible Pest Control employees came to conduct an inspection of the entire house where they confirmed the presence of termites. They scheduled another treatment which was performed a few days later. This service was performed at no cost and in accordance with the warranty purchased in 2021 through ******************On June 12, 2025, I called Responsible Pest Control to request an inspection after noticing evidence of termites. Company representative *** told me that the manager said he will not honor the warranty. She said that she has a copy of my warranty but they are missing some of my customer records. She said they purchased the entire book of business from ***************** and normally honor warranties. However, she said she was sorry and hated telling me this. On June 13, 2025, I called *** and asked to speak with the manager who made this decision. As of the date of this complaint, I have not receive a call back.

      I contacted *** and after apologizing for the delay in my response due to field activities, I explained that I have no contract or service on file for the termite control. He was a little frustrated which I sympathized with, but having gone through the paper files and the documents from our *** acquisition, I am unable to locate any agreement. The only record I have is one invoice from 2021 with pencil markings indicating a conversion of the warranty to 5 years. I confirmed with him that his coverage should be until Sept 2026 to which he agreed and I offered to send a $0 one year coverage agreement for termites for him to sign. This would cover my needs and allow us to treat his termite concerns. He let me know that was an acceptable resolution.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18561493, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
