I had two experiences with **** and ****** at ASAP Pump. The first was on Pump A. I asked them to add a pigtail to the pump so I could plug it into a wall socket. They did a great job, offered to do it while I waited, and I took it home. The 2nd was Pump B. It had seized up and I brought it in asking them to diagnose it and give me an estimate of cost. ****** called me back in a few days, and told me there was nothing wrong with the pump but that it did need a new seal set. I am a wholesaler and asked if I could bring in the exact same, sealed, never used seal set. I was told "NO". They could not guarantee the work unless they put in their own seal set, even though it was identical. I told ****** that I didn't need a guarantee because I would not use Pump B unless Pump A failed. Either way, any guarantee they offered would have expired. In truth I was trying to save myself some money because their markup on the seal set was significant. They told me I could pick up my pump anytime. When I picked up my pump it was not in the same condition I gave it to them. It was in pieces. I said, "that's ok because I have to put the seal set on anyway," and I took it. When my tech attempted to put the seal set on the pump, he called me because the diverter was missing. I called ****** and she told me to come down and get my diverter. I told her that was a hardship for me and to please, since it was their fault to mail it to me which she did. Then we discovered the dust cover and the bolts to secure it on to it's base were also missing. This time I went down to ASAP to get the pieces. They could not find my original dust cover and gave me a replacement that was different from the original. I didn't receive the bolts. After several emails back and forth, ****** communicated that I should be grateful that they put on my pigtail on Pump A while I waited, which had nothing to do with Pump B. I told her she had a week to replace the original cover and bolts or I would report to BBB.
