In April 2024 were decided to install solar panels on our manufactured home. We had the interview and went through the process of installation.
In July 2024 Solar Pros came out to install the panels. After installation, they contacted TEP to connect the panels. TEP advised Solar Pros that the house didn't have the adequate connection source and one needed to be purchased in order to continue. Side Note: when a business installs major equipment in your house, shouldn't they make sure that all connections are available before continuing to do the job? Apparently NOT! Unprofessional.
Solar Pros took it upon themselves to purchase the equipment only because I advised them that I was not going to purchase anything and they can take off the panels or purchase the equipments themselves.
In Aug I was informed (not by Solar Pros) that the company that I financed the panels from had gone bankrupt. Solar Pros didn't contact me until Sept to inform me of such assurance. The President of Solar Pros called to let me know of the situation and that I had the option to either wait it out until another company takes over or I can go with another company, which they would take off the panels and install their own panels. I asked them at that time to just remove the panels from my house and break the contract. He told me that they would not be able to do that. Of course not.. that would mean Solar Pros would lose out on the money..
We are now at the end of November 2024 and Solar Pros has not contacted me to settle this situation.
This company is very shady.. They have issues with their own employees (which I witnessed)
All this was new to me so having different people in the same company tell me different things was very confusing. Luckily, I have not paid anything but I also don't have solar and I have useless panels on my roof.Initial Complaint

I had an agreement with Tucson Solar Pros to install a solar system at my residence but they never performed any work. The bank (TOPCU) approved my loan for $26,522 and paid half to Tucson Solar Pros. TOPCU now is saying that I am liable for the amount paid to Tucson Solar Pros. I have already filed a complaint with ROC and they have the final order where they deemed it as job abandonment.Initial Complaint

I contracted with Tucson Solar Pros to install Solar Panels on my house. Everything was fine until it wasn’t. I got my loan and Solar Pros received and cashed a check for $26,570.78 in order to get my project ordered. After not hearing from them in a month or so, I contacted my two points of contacts, asking where we were at on the project. Bryan Gentry, the salesperson was the only one to contact me telling me the company suddenly went out of business and many customers like me had no work done at all. I’m currently having to pay the loan back for nothing.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Tucson Solar Pros on 11/5/2021 to install a solar system on my residence in Santa Cruz County. After many delay tactics: not responding to emails, answering telephone calls, not accepting voice messages, Tucson Solar Pros finally installed what I believe to be a partial solar systems on my residence on March 31, 2022. Funds for the entire system, less a $3000 cash down payment, were disbursed to Tucson Solar Pros by Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union, which provided the financing. The amount financed is $12,720. The company closed its doors on July 5, 2022, with NO word to me, and I believe, other customers. I now have a inoperable solar system on my residence and am out $15,720. If the system is even complete and able to be operated, the 25-year warranty is worthless since I have NO paperwork of the components installed. I cannot determine if the company pulled a bait and switch and installed solar panels and associated components that are different from what was stated in the contract.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Tucson Solar Pros February 12, 2022. I was told that they would likely begin placing panels on my roof in April 2022 after the proper paperwork was filed. I was approved for a loan with a local credit union the company used. Daniel, the president, made a verbal agreement that I would be reimbursed for any loan payments before my Solar was turned on. Part of my project was having some roof repair before the panels. Total $31,969 with 3.79% annual rate.
In April 2022, I had not heard from the company after initial approval with the electric company was finalized in March. I called and talked to someone and that same week, they sent out an electrician to switch out a panel on my electrical box on April 12. I was told my project probably wouldn’t be started until June, not this month.
In May 2022, there was no more communication and I had made two payments on my loan. I called to ask about the project and repayment. I spoke to an employee who had a check sent to me by the end of the week for the April and May payments for my loan. I was told that parts were back ordered, but they would get back to me. I did not hear back.
In June, I emailed the president, no response, and called a week or more later. I spoke to someone who told me my project was discussed at their meeting that morning and she was waiting to call me back. She told me they were out of the size panels I needed and said they might need to use more of smaller panels due to back orders. I told them I wanted to go with the smaller panels and they said they would let their boss know and call me back to draft new paperwork. I received no return call.
After a few weeks, online reviews stated Daniel had laid off all employees and literally ran out the back door when customers showed up to asked about unanswered calls. The Recovery Fund from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors is not enough to cover the amount owed to all affected customers who filled complaints with the ROC.Initial Complaint

On November 08, 2021 I signed a contract with Tucson Solar Pros after contacting my bank (TOPCU) for a solar loan. In asking my bank which solar company they recommend, they suggested Tucson Solar Pros. To assure Tucson Solar Pros installation I asked final payment to withheld until TEP allowed initial connection. Bank did not allow this so Tucson Solar Pros gave a check for 1000 dollars until TEP allowed connection.
Preliminary work was started sometime in December as far as evaluating property, electrical box, and assume acquiring the necessary permits from city and coordination requirements with TEP. As part of the contract, Tucson Solar Pros would pay monthly payments for three months, when loan went into effect on February 15, 2022. During this period I called Tucson Solar Pros on several occasions to check on status of solar installation. I usually had to call them to initiate some type of answer. I was put off by some technical excuse that different size breaker was needed or some part was on order. When Tucson Solar Pro representative Cody Stone left company and was replace by David Smith, I became concerned. Come May there was no Solar Installation and even an expected installation date. Tucson Solar Pros continued to pay monthly payments for May, June, & July. Around July 8th, TOPCu Joanna Jackson called me, to inform me that their were rumors that Tucson Solar Pros might be going out of business. Joanna explained if that was the case TOPCU was ready to offer loan grace period of 90 days until some resolution was reach. About the some time David Smith returned my call informing me that Tucson Solar Pros was shutting its doors and had laid off all of its employees the week before. I tried calling Tucson Solar Pros office to no avail, only able to leave message on their mobile recorder.
Last week I filed compliant with Register Office of Contractors (ROC) and haven't heard back from them. I also tried cashing the 1000 dollar ch
