I paid 1900 dollars for a transmission build to have it completed correctly. I went in informing shop what I was looking for in my transmission build it was completed and installed issues came about and was taken in to be inspected some parts were not working correctly. The shop had seen that some work was not completed correctly. then at that point was repaired under warranty for the first time. Transmission was doing great then realized it had a small leak took vehicle in to have it inspected then was notified by the shop there were some issues but they could not fix under warranty.

The customer has attempted to install his transmission himself.

He has failed to follow instruction for warranty on a self installed transmission.

The first time he returned, his transmission was missing critical support crossmember and fastener bolts. This caused internal transmission damage.  We repaired it under warranty anyway.  He was advised in writing that for his warranty to continue to be active, he was required to bring vehicle back for inspection of installation.  HE DID NOT.  We did not hear from customer for 2 months. Customer waited until there was an issue and then brought it back.  He had his wife/sister/girlfriend drop it off and she advised us that the transmission had been leaking.

Upon diagnosis and inspection, we discovered transmission very low of transmission fluid.  This caused the internal clutches to overheat and burn beyond affective use.  The transmission ONCE AGAIN has to be removed and rebuilt.  This situation is specifically caused by the negligence of the customer to fulfil his due diligence in keeping his warranty active. Moreover, this is the 2nd time he has not followed directions.  As stated before, we repaired his transmission the first time regardless of his negligence.  We are now reticent to continue to repair his transmission because of HIS negligence.   Customer was offered a couple options for rebuilding his transmission at a considerable discount.  Customer declined repair.

At this point, considering our attempts at helping the customer out despite the customer's failure to comply with instructions in the past, we no longer bear any responsibility for repairing customer's transmission under warranty.

    Thank you,

    Jon
