I was charged for work that we didn't agree upon (this is confirmed in my conversation with Action Yard Service in the attached images) and I was never sent an updated invoice. as promised. I have since been charged with late fees on the original invoice. We set a time for Action Yard Service to come out to my properties to clear debris and spray the yard set for May 27, but I got a no show no call.
The crew came out on the 28th and took care of both yards and did a great job. Two yards cleared and sprayed with pre-emergent for $700. I was satisfied with this, regardless of the no show and paid this invoice.
On July 16 I went to my rental and found they were overgrown again. I wasn't very pleased to see in 2 months that the pre-emergent did not hold but I understand that is not the responsibility of Action Yard service and that lies with the product vendor. Regardless, I got another quote from them WITHOUT spray, for the same work after two months of growth. I was selling the houses and just needed the debris cleared.
The first day I came to the house I saw one yard was 3/4 cleared with all of the clippings and debris in the yard (images attached). This job took the crew one day on the last visit. The following day the job was completed and I received a bill for $900. This is $200 more for the same job with only two months of growth and NO SPRAY.
When I spoke with Action Yard Care, I was told both yards got sprayed and that Action Yard Care charges $125 a yard. This means I was charged $250 more. I was then told $125 would be deducted as well as an hour for two men working which she quoted at $150. I never received the invoice with the $275 deduction. I would have anticipated two months of growth to be the initial $700 minus the $250 spray for around $550. Now I am being sent invoices with late fees attached to the original incorrect charges.

We are so sorry that Mr ******* had a bad experience with our services. We never like to hear this from any customer and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion. This is certainly not the the norm for our company nor is it the great customer experience we strive for with every job. His bill has been adjusted to the requested amount of $550 and as always, we use any criticism to improve our service going forward.Customer Answer

I hired Action Yard and Tree to complete some landscaping in our rear yard. We agreed on the scope of the work to be completed and agreed on a price. My wife made some changes to the scope of work on the day Action started the job. A change order was sent to us with the changes and the new cost for the work. We agreed to the increased price. The work performed (pavers and turf) was done in a sloppy manner. The pavers are uneven and not uniform as is the case with the turf. They attempted to increase the pricing for a 2nd time with a 2nd change order of which we never agreed to. The owner's (Joe Mills) claim was that the scope of the job was larger than we agreed to and therefore, a 50% price increase was warranted. We disagreed, and he relented to charge the price as agreed to in the only change order. My issues are as follows: 1. The quality of work was not up to the level of professional. 2. They did not meet the agreed upon conditions of the agreement as they did not install some pea gravel as per the contract. I still do not have the gravel but they have my money. This is a clear breach of contract. 3. He attempted to take advantage of us with a 50% price increase 4. I don't believe he ever returned to the jobsite to inspect the work of his employees 5. He charged my credit card for the balance due without me being able to inspect the work prior to final payment. He and his staff were aware that I was out of town. I told them I would be back on Monday, 10/31 and that I would inspect the work performed and would make final payment upon satisfactory inspection. They charged my credit card for the balance due on 10/30, disallowing me the opportunity to require the work to be done right.Customer Answer

This complaint is an amendment to complaint # 18362903 as I am unable to amend the initial complaint. We did not realize upon making the original complaint that Action Yard and Tree had turned off our irrigation system. Upon us turning it back on, we quickly realized the Action Yard and tree employee who altered the irrigation tubing did not cap the line as he told my wife he would. The result is flooding from underground next to the paver walkway Action installed. "Business Response

The issue was a minor irrigation leak. This line was capped and was in some way or form removed or popped off. Our Foreman corrected the issue and now resolved.Initial Complaint

I hired Action to repair my irrigation system and to extend it to another Place. I have paid them $27,725.00. They believe they have completed The job. However they could not connect several places, they did not Give me manuals for the one new area that in past was on the clock *** said he would come today and complete but it would be at a rate of $ 250.00 per day. I contend he should come and complete the job since last Wed. he said it was Finished. I paid him in good faith He should complete this.Business Response

The Estimates and Invoices for this project are clear. In that, we charge $250 per hour, plus the costs of parts required for repairs. This project is not finished. It is a very large, extensive irrigation system as the home owner is aware. She simply stated that she will discuss this with her lawyer and that she does not want to pay for anymore repairs. If she would like us to continue with the project we can and will at $250 per hour, plus the cost of parts required for repairs. We are completed up to the point she was willing to pay for.Customer Answer

I did sign the contract and I did agree. However when paying the first amount I questioned the invoice and requested an itemized account and expressed I expected a crew.
‘The second time he came on a Friday for his check I asked him for a time frame. He said it could be as early as Monday but
could be later in the week.
*** told me he would be here on Wed a.m. before 8:00 to show me the clock. He was here but stated that the work was not completedHe would come back at 4:00 p.m. to teach me the clock. He arrived early but seemed to have a difficult time with the clock.
I was to see how things went but not to touch the clock. That evening the lawn came on —it went 3 and then 4 and then 11.
it did it again 3 and 4 and 11.
Also there was flooding. I called. No answer on Friday from the company on Friday but when the system ran several other problems
presented themselves. One area had a new system —turned on but no off time—another area was there. That took care of 2 areas.
However number 7 was on the clock but did not run. On Saturday he called the worker who did most of the work and He told ***
that 7 was on the new system. *** could not get it to work. *** said he would come on Monday with his crew but the there would be
new charges. I feel that I have paid in good faith and all this should be fixed. I am a good client. I paid on time. I expected
good results.
