    I am reporting concerns about the financial transparency and accountability of the Islamic Center of Alameda (ICA), operated by Khifayah Foundation Inc. (EIN: **********). The organization is soliciting $1.3 million in donations for a renovation project at *********************************************************************, **********. However, city permit records for the project show a declared valuation of approximately $435,500. This significant discrepancy raises questions about the actual use and allocation of the funds.I donated approximately $500$800 to support this project, assuming the funds would be used solely for the stated purpose. Despite repeated inquiries to *** leadership, including **** ***** and **** *****, I have not received any detailed financial disclosures or breakdowns of how the donations have been utilized. The lack of transparency has led to concerns that funds may be mismanaged or diverted for purposes other than the renovation project.Additionally, Mr. **** ***** has regularly mentioned, during his lectures, his efforts to open mosques in ******. While I fully support charitable efforts abroad, it is unclear whether funds donated for the Alameda project are being used for these international activities. Donors deserve clarity on how their contributions are being allocated.Furthermore, Mr. **** ***** has a history of legal and ethical concerns, having been implicated in a civil lawsuit filed by the City of Oakland against ***********************. The case resulted in a $15.1 million judgment for fraudulent activities, which further undermines trust in **** governance and financial management practices.I am requesting that *** provide:A detailed financial report showing how the $1.3 million fundraising goal aligns with the declared permit valuation of $435,500.A public disclosure of how donations have been allocated and whether any funds have been diverted to other projects.A response from *** leadership to address donor concerns and restore community trust.
