I was renting a storage unit since 2022 and I discovered in 2022 there was a rodent infestation. I was upset but giving them the benefit I continued with keeping the storage unit since I couldnt find any others available at the time. I even hired a cleaning company to clean all the items in the storage unit. But I continued to pay $462 monthly. PSA Storage also requires you to keep insurance on the unit at $12 a month. After the first time I filed a claim with the insurance company (******)the insurance company gave me the run around and never compensated me for that incident as well. The insurance company that PSA storage contracts with and which they require you to keep is committing fraud. It is impossible to get a hold of them let alone have them pay out for a claim. I went in yesterday April 19, 2025 to move out my storage unit and once again there was a rodent infestation again. And mind you I didnt store anything in my storage unit that would attract rodents either. My storage unit had 2 of the walls concrete and the third wall is made of dry wall . Once again there was another hole in the dry wall that side, being pushed in from that neighboring unit. I had to throw away so much furniture and other items as well. But what was so upsetting was that I had to throw out a blanket Ive had since my childhood from my parents. It was literally covered in rodent urine and f**** I am so disappointed and sad that I lost my precious blanket. It is of sentimental value and importance that I cannot replace at all. Especially since both of my parents are gone now and I just lost my mother last year. There is no replacement for my blanket. This is not the first time and now its just been pure negligence on PSA storage. They have not maintained proper up keep on their business property. They will continue to collect the monthly rent and charge customers. However, there is no maintenance to provide a clean safe facility for the customer for their valuables. Unacceptable.

All Customers that store at PSA ********************************************* are required to have "some" form of insurance to cover their goods in storage per the customer signed lease agreement. We are not insurance agents on site and only provide an option to fulfill the insurance requirements per the lease agreement. They may elect to our provided insurance option or have their own insurance that covers "off-site storage" We always try to work with customers of course in times of distress, but offering transfers of units, etc. as we do not have access to individual spaces (these are locked by customers personal locks). we have no way to access individual units for repairs unless customers request and coordinate that with staff. There was no record of the customer asking to transfer or any additional repairs to unit beyond what she agreed to in the rental agreement. We also do not know what customers store inside their units and cannot confirm that there "weren't" food items stored in the unit (which stated in the lease agreement is not permitted). We have monthly pest control as we are an outside facility and have had no issues with pests with other tenants.
