    On 5/10/2022 we hired Citrine Design company (Owner ***************************) to remodel the main bathroom next to master bedroom for $34,900. Agreed to start the work on 5/17 and complete by 6/22. We paid him $3,000 when we signed the contract and $15,000 when he started the work. After the demolition he asked for an additional $11,800 to start purchasing all materials including tiles, vanity, bathtub, toilet seat, shower doors, sinks, exhaust vents, lighting, valves, fixtures and other materials. After the last payment, his communication was scattered and eventually stopped. His crew continued to do the work, but the owner never stopped to the location to inspect the work. He did not respond to our phone calls, text messages and any other form of communication. He abandoned the project on 6/18. The project is about 30% to 40% complete as of 6/17/22, which was the last day the crew showed up to work. He never delivered the sinks, tiles, shower doors and other materials we paid him to purchase. On 6/27/22 we sent him a Letter of Notification asking to respond with a new date of completion or refund the money based in the current status of the bathroom. He never responded and never heard of him or his crew. We found out that there are other clients in the same situation as us where he started the project and abandoned the project unfinished. We also found out that he had other litigations in the past, his licenses was suspended and his business was forced to close. We searched his name and company for the license and could not find it. He did not provide a license when started the work.
