I purchased stone on 2/26/2022 from The Yard for a kitchen renovation. The project wasnt slated to start yet and *****, the owner, said they would store the stone on site, no charge. I consulted with my contractor, and he agreed its better not to move the stone multiple times and to let them store it. All documented via text message I still have on file. The renovation was stalled due to a family emergency that concluded at the end of 2023. When I tried contacting The Yard earlier this year about my stone, I left a message, and my call was never returned. I tried calling multiple times, again, no contact. I drove down and spoke to ***** who told me the stone was picked up in 2022 by my contractor and he specifically remembers because he drove the forklift, but provided no receipt upon pick up. My contractor said he did not pick it up nor does he have a record of picking up the stone. He would not have picked it up without a receipt and charging me a fee. ***** said he would look through his paperwork and call me back. Once again did not call me back. I asked my son-in-law to call and see if he can help resolve the situation. Instead, more inaccurate information and claiming he sent me a copy of a receipt that it was picked up. He told me no such receipt existed and then told my son-in-law he sent it but refused to send it again. Instead of any sort of attempted resolution, he threatened to sue me. The stone is nowhere to be found, and he refuses to provide a refund. This is a total scam. Apparently, this is not an original problem with The Yard. There are two complaints with the same exact story of no stone, no refund and threatening to sue instead of resolving the situation.

On 2/16/23 we purchased 2 slabs of *************************** ******* quartz from The Yard for a renovation of a master bathroom. The slabs were to be stored on their site at no charge. In August, we asked our installer to pick up the slabs. He called them to schedule pickup and he was told they were stored at a warehouse. Yet the installer was not allowed to pick them up there, although he went to The Yard. On september 29, 2023, we went to The Yard and asked for our $14,869,50 back, *****, the owner, reused to write a check or wire the money. Instead he supposedly gave us a refund to our new credit card, as the original card had be scammed and replaced in June 2023. The refund from *********** has not been given, although we have written up the case multiple times to them. At first, *********** said they would refund it after two pay cycles. Now they are saying another 90 days, *********** has contacted The Yard and so have we. ***** is unable to give proof to either *********** or ourselves that his account has been debited and he is threatening "to *** us",
