Sept 2023 I was hired for a video shoot In ******* for Jul TV. After speaking several times over the phone I was given instructions to meet in ******* to film several interviews. They gave me footage from a previous show to transcode for them as additional work (they agreed to compensate me for that on top of the filming work, I have it in writing). Upon completion of work, several weeks went by without them sending payment. After I politely asked when the work from weeks ago would be paid, I received a manic phone call from alleged president ********************** screaming at the top of his lungs about how I was asking to be paid (which I had to this point been reasonable and giving them more and more time) I explained because that was our agreement , it had been several weeks past the date he had promised to send payment by. He called to apologize and promised to send payment again, which never happened, then began a series of unhinged emails, which I presume were meant to put into writing weird statements about coding work or other things along those lines (I have never offered coding work, my guess is he felt that emailing things like that would give him a way out if it ever went to court?) Im not sure, the point is Ive seen many other cases where they dont pay employees, and are charging people for tv assets then never produce those items for the people (who are definitely paying *** ) - so he is defrauding not only employees (video shooters/sound people/editors) but also the people he promises these video assets to, that never arrive (then he blames the same video /sound/editing people he didnt pay) .
