- California Business and Professions Code 7117 forbids a contractor from operating under any business name other than the name on his or her Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) license. As of January 9, 2017, this business is licensed by the CSLB under the name Talon Energy Solutions; however, it is also doing business as Blackgate Solar, a DBA (doing-business-as) name which is not listed on their Contractor's license.
We contacted the business on February 9, 2017 and February 27, 2017 requesting that they add the DBA Blackgate Solar to their Contractor's license. As of today, the DBA has not been added to the license.
