    My 6-year-old daughter, who has autism, had been receiving ABA and ** services at The Children's Clinic in ************ for over 2 years. She built a strong, trusting relationship with her therapist, which helped her make meaningful progress. Unfortunately, due to illness this year, I had to cancel a few sessions and provided doctor's notes each time to explain her absences. Despite this, the clinic chose to discharge my daughter from the program without discussing other options or considering her hard work and progress over the years. I was never informed that this was even a possibility and was blindsided when I received the call that she had been dropped. I later learned that other children with more absences were still receiving services, which made this decision even more disappointing. This has deeply impacted my daughter, and she is now experiencing setbacks. I feel like my child was treated as just another case file, without consideration of her unique needs and achievements.A company that claims to support children with special needs should lead with compassion and understanding sadly, The Children's Clinic showed neither and should reconsider working with vulnerable families if they cannot prioritize the well-being of the children they serve.
