I've have an interest in *** machining and came across a website called CNCCOOKBOOK.com. It is run by ***********************. I was initially interested in using the software so I signed up for a free trial. According to the developer, this software will assist in setting the correct parameters when operating a *** machine. As the trial gets closer to ending, I received an email offering a reduced price (Screenshot attached) for the software and if I click on the offer it takes me to a page not visible to the general public. It's a special offer page. The reason I say not visible is that the link from the website shows a higher amount. On the page, ******************** claims he has done business with several fortune 500 companies including, Tesla, DOW, Caterpillar, and a government agency like, ***** As I scroll down, he has 66 reviews of which only 3 appear. On this page, (Screenshot attached) an image of a man is used with the name of ************** ************** writes a convincing review of the software, claiming, "I have used Gwizard to accurately estimate and win over $20 million worth of Aerospace machined parts...". Unfortunately, you cannot read further. So what is the issue? Anyone else may not care or know who the person is, but I do. This person is not in the *** machining industry, but a Hollywood actor named ******************************, who has appeared in over 100 films, and TV series.I have reported this to the publicist for ******************** as this is false advertising. These are false claims period. On the pricing page, the original price for a 1 year subscription is $79.00 on sale for $63.99. The offer I received is $49.99 with a regular price of $99.99. He claims over ****** cnc'er are using his software. Kind of hard to believe when clearly this person is unethical with his claims. How many of these 20k people bought the product without trialing it? How many people bought the software because of these claims?

The writer requests verifiable references by the Fortune 500 companies, however, it would be a violation of their privacy for me to reveal their full contact information.  The reviews as I have provided them follow industry best practices.  The claim that one of the photos is a professional actor is not something I can prove or disprove.  It is the image I received from the customer who offered the review.

The offer he refers to is not for the same product he is interested in.  His $79, now offerred for $63.99 on sale product is G-Wizard Calculator.  The $49, regular $99 product is a new product we are just now launching called G-Wizard Thread Calculator.

Clearly this individual is quite confused, or perhaps they have an axe to grind against CNCCookbook.  I stand by all the claims made on the site as well as by our long history with BBB.  Surely if what this individual claims was true there would have been a tremendous number of complaints  over the 11 years.

As further proof of our ****** customers, you need look no further than our web traffic.  According to similarweb.com, we get over ******* customers visiting our site per month:

I am rejecting this response because: It is the responsibility of the business owner to validate the image received by his so called customer. There is no excuse to provide references of their clients if they get they get permission in advance. That is a general business practice. There is a lot of ambiguity regarding the special offer and the wording on your site. You use the word GW *********** ********* G-Wizard: The Ultimate Feeds & Speeds *********** *********  G-Wizard Thread Calculator: Your Go-************** Source. The keyword here is G-Wizard and reading it the way you present it with each communique you cover yourself with a barely visible disclaimer above another link that draws your eye to G-Wizard.

I don't have an axe to grind, I haven't even bought your software. I did don't find value in it. You are responsible though to market your product ethically and that means to ensure all copyright is protected. There is no excuse to say someone gave me something and not complete a validation by using simple tools like ****** look up image. It completes a reverse look up of the internet and you would have found that the picture is of an actor, a very successful actor so it could be construed that this person who is in an actor was paid to endorse your product or this person is impersonating an actor and you are complicit in a criminal act.

Here is the actor in question.

This customer has provided no new information and the case was already adjudicated in my favor.

However, in the interest of peace and ******** I have removed the ************** review from my reviews list.

    Sincerely,
