    I stayed in the same property **** Beach ******* rented through ******** **** 10 years ago. I stayed there again in the middle of July of this year for one week. At that time 10 years ago, the property was in much better condition. During my current stay, one upstairs bathroom had a toilet that did not flush following routine use. There was nothing foreign placed in the toilet other than routine organic material from ********* and ***** ********** A plunger that was in that bathroom and clearly had been used multiple times (as it did not function properly and inverted with attempts to use it), was attempted to be used in order to try and unclog it. This was not successful. Because there were signs all over the house about immediately calling the property management with any plumbing issues (obviously a prior issue with this outdated property, see attachment from posted refrigerator sign in the property), we followed the directions and called. The handyman/plumber who came out stated that this had been a problem before in the past. Again there was nothing unusual flushed down the toilet other than usual organic matter that normally goes in a toilet. Today I just received my deposit back and they withheld $150 in order to clear the toilet. At the time of booking the property, I sent a deposit check for $1000. as a renter of this property for one week, it is inappropriate that I be charged to fix a toilet that is obviously in bad working order and has chronic issues for doing nothing other than using it in a routine and normal way. This after a ******** *** employee had already ********* to me several days after checking over the phone that I would receive my deposit back IN FULL. I have used Cheshire Rio in the past and so has my family for many many years. We will never use them again after this *********** I would like the remainder of my $1000 deposit back *******
