12/29/2022 I hired this ** to assess my home and determine where woodpeckers are pecking again. They had been here before and provided good and effective service. The person that came out did not seem to know nearly as much as the previous workers but i thought ok since he was with this **. I explained what the problem was, *********** pecking and explained the history of when this ** came out before, though he didn't seem to be too interested in that he went to work. He then told me there was evidence of squirrels/a**rns on roof and he **uld take care of that. When i tried to get more info regarding woodpeckers vs squirrels and the original problem he seemed agitated and not good with questions. He showed me pics of what he saw on my roof and said I would get before and after pics of the work done, I agreed to get the work done, then pd $650 with the promise of the invoice and before and after pics NLT next day. Since it is a 2 story house and difficult to see the work done, this is always a requirement for me and i was assured i would get that. The woodpeckers began pecking as usual, when I called the ** to ask for a RE inspection he asked if i noticed any nesting or other evidence of woodpeckers. I told him I know what i hear and i see, AND previous solutions have been effective AND i cannot get on my roof to assess this which is what I hired this ** for. He said,"this **nversation is going to end". WHY because i asked an obvious question??? I also asked for my invoice, pics and someone above him. he agreed to send and have someone call me, they never did so i called them and was lectured by cust svc ***** about everything SHE felt was wrong with ME! and told me they don't take pics, which is not true. She provided no resolution/solution ************* which did nothing to solve this. A few years ago they did work, a piece fell off in a week she tried to tell me it would be &115 to return and fix. not true. much more to this not enough charactersBusiness Response

1. ***************** is not our customer and if the customer of our sister company ********************.
She has a contract with our sister company. I will attach.
2. We came out in twice before and our sister company did work for her.
3. Recently she called about woodpeckers. When the technician came out he indicated he couldn't find evidence of woodpeckers or see them. While he was there he explain squirrels
Gain access to the chimney. She Signed the contract and called in to make a payment. Never complained or asked for anything. She decided to pay with a check.
4. ** Called in and Spoke to **** and asked what we did, We explained the scope of work that was done that was in her contract. She was irrate and said woodpeckers are still flying around.
We explained that we can't control Woodpeckers and where they fly. She was irrate with him on the phone and he did bring me the ppwk to review.
5. I asked my **************** manager to Send her a copy of the invoice and contract.
6. When she called in she was yelling at my CSM ****** and said she wanted Pictures. We don't always take pictures as this is NOT SAFE as our crews are on ladders.
We don't always have pictures to send. This is *************** policy to send pictures and we DO not require them to take them if they feel unsafe.
7. I got on the phone with her and explained what we did on the home. SHE kept saying the woodpeckers are still here. I said I am sorry when we came there were no signs of woodpeckers and we made this notation. She Signed for the work and we completed this as agreed. SHE started ******* even louder and we asked her to stop yelling. I asked her to review the contract with me and SHE kept yelling.
SHE then started calling me a B**** and SHE Will tell everyone and we will lose thousands of Dollars. Tell them what??? I asked her to stop yelling and I hung up as she was screaming at me.
8. I don't know what she wants. We came and we completed work. She paid. We can't make woodpeckers disappear and she didn't have to have any work completed. In this case I do have pictures I am happy to share. However, this doesn't change the scope or work or what she signed for us to do.
Sometimes people call about Bats and they end up being chipmunks. WE can't control what wildlife was there when we came.
9. this shouldn't affect my ******************** as this is non-related.

I am rejecting this response because: no resolution proposed
1 Yes it was west coast wildlife removal that I filed complaint against, however according to them they are all connected, different divisions.
2. Yes they did come out twice before, sent 2 workers who did thorough assessments and did professional work as agreed upon that was effective and discussed satisfactorily. They showed up when they said and were professional and courteous to me and my husband. There had been one small hiccup and when I spoke to ****** then it was a disaster and she insisted that we would have to pay another service despite something failing within 10 days. Thankfully I was able to speak to an owner who agreed it was covered and they should and would come and fix. Done, no problem which is the only reason I used them again.
3. Yes I called about woodpeckers pecking again (which was the original reason for them to come this time). ONE tech came out this time and spent a fraction of the time assessing the problem that it took 2 workers to do before, which by the way was very effective. This tech ONLY looked ON the roof not the ***** etc. Woodpeckers dont ONLY **** on the roof as I had learned from the prior times we hired this company. This tech said he did not find evidence of woodpeckers only squirrels since there were nuts (actually acorns) on roof, which is also from woodpeckers I had been told by others from this co. I began asking questions, since I hear the woodpeckers and tried to understand how he came to that conclusion so quickly. He appeared to be easily agitated with questions that he struggled to answer including how could squirrels get on my roof since trees/branches are not close to my roof. **************** seemed very knowledgable and no problem discussing and answering questions, so this struck me as odd. Since he showed up much earlier than agreed upon appointment and my husband was not yet there, I figured it would be ok since he was with this company that we trusted and had done professional and appropriate work here before. I agreed to proceed figuring he must know more about it since he has been vetted with the company that he works for. He assured me I would get before and after pics, since he showed me the pics of before I had no reason to doubt this AND I require it since I have no way of seeing what was done on the roof otherwise. He never explained squirrels since he did not seem comfortable with reasonable questions regarding them. The woodpeckers began pecking pretty much the same as they had been.
4. A couple days later and thinking more about the sequence of events, I called the company to discuss my concerns and request a thorough professional assessment (as I had from previous encounters) stating that I should not have to REPAY for what I feel was not adequate to begin with, this was when I spoke to ****. I was not irate at all and never once said, Theyre still flying around. I dont care where or how much they fly, I care about them pecking on my house. When I tried to discuss this w/**** he asked if I saw woodpecker activity such as nesting or anything. I said, I dont go up on my 2 story house, that was what I hired your company for in the first place. **** said, This conversation is over. I was shocked at this response, just for stating a fact??? I had been told **** was a director, when I asked him he said he was a manager and I requested to speak to someone above him and mentioned the invoice and pics I had not yet received. **** said he could take care of that and he would have one of the owners (or someone above him call me). No one ever called me back.
5. Received a copy of invoice only
6. I called 2 days later and spoke to whomever answered the phone and said they were familiar with this but would transfer to me to someone who knew more about this situation. That was when ****** came on the phone, WOW she was immediately hostile and condescending, would not listen to my concerns at all only talking loudly and lecturing me about everything that she perceived to be wrong with me. I was shocked that this is how and owner would speak to a customer, but quickly remembered my horrible encounter with her years earlier that was made right by someone else. She said it was unsafe and they do not allow their workers to have cell phones on the roof with them and I said he had pictures and said I would get copies sent to me. She kept talking about how unsafe it is and not allowed. If they said pictures would be provided, which is a prerequisite of work done on my roof since that is the only was I can know what was done, this should not have been a problem. If they cant show you their work, what are they hiding? It was impossible to have a real conversation with ***** who was outright hostile from the beginning, therefore impossible to approach any resolution,
7. The only person I spoke to on the phone that day was *****, no one else got on the phone, I never spoke to someone named ******* Wright who is on their reply. ***** said my voice was too loud, maybe since she was on speaker phone so I took it off speaker phone but it was too late and she continued to talk and lecture non stop. I stated that my neighbors have used them based on my recommendation and had paid them thousands for work, which I am surprised she heard any of it since, again, she never stopped talking loudly. I never threatened them a loss of revenue, I dont believe in threats. I then hung up on her because it was obvious there would be zero resolution with her. It was an intolerable one way conversation, with no resolution in sight.
8. The only thing I asked for was for different workers to come out and do a thorough, full inspection as I had in the past, not like the quick one that did not address the actual problem but seemed to be a quick recommendation that did nothing to address the problem but just do that I originally hired them to do. I should not have to REPAY for the original inspection that was very inadequate to begin with.
9. West coast wild life removal and the bat removal and the construction are all intertwined I was told by employees, just different divisions. One phone number goes to all three divisions.Business Response

C. Wright & Wright **** **** is a corporation and has
Three Businesses under this umbrella.
We don't share a CSLB number. Only *************************** has this Number.
Our construction department will at times work alongside West Coast Wildlife Removal when needed.
There are times we work in conjunction with each other.
There are times we will use this department when remediating or making repairs to homes.
Removing roofs, Walls, and make repairs.
This customer hired West ********************************************* to Inspection for wood peckers.
*************************** our construction department had nothing to do with this specific project.
Western Bat Was NOT involved on this project at all and this complete complaint is ferriferous and unsubstantiated.
West Coast Wildlife:
When our arrived NO woodpeckers were found, and this was noted on the attached contract.
The Tech did advise that the customer did have a squirrel issue. SHE signed and acknowledged the contract and that this was his finding.
He offered to screen two areas on the home. SHE agreed and he did this.
Please find attached a copy of the customers Contract and two pictures of the completed work.
This was a $600.00.We don't understand what she is wanting. West Coast Wildlife and the customer agreed to work.
This was completed. We have pictures and proof.
AT this point our attorneys will be reaching out to the customer.
Due to the continued harassment we have been receiving from this customer. We will not refund this customer as we did our work as agreed.
We explained if she would like to call the West Coast wildlife company she can do so however we will not allow her to scream and yell at the office.
I am not sure what she is wanting. We can't control Wood Peckers. We are sorry she is dealing with wood peckers.
They are wild animals and as we state we cannot control where they go.
All of her statements are untrue and completely fabricated.
I myself spoke to her and she was screaming into the phone and I asked her to stop yelling.
I asked her when she originally called to please let me read over the contract with her.
She called me a B**** and screamed and I hung up. This was not ******.
I was sitting next to ****** my CSM as she had transfer this to me due to her yelling at her.
Additionally, the comments she made about **** are untrue and he is so extremely patience and kind.
All of us have tried and tried to speak to her. However, her abusive speech is not allowed. I will not allow anyone to scream and yell at my staff or myself.
We warranty the screening for 1 year and the install. No one told her that she had 10 days. I don't even know what this means????
This person is out of control and has anger issues.
Again, I will have my attorney reach out as this is getting out of hand.
I asked again BBB to remove this off of *********************** account as this is a separate business and they have nothing to do with this disagreement.
Thank you for your time. I wish her the best however this harassment is out of control and my attorneys will be in contact with her.
