In September, our iPhone 12 mini screen cracked, & we took it to go gadgets for repair. They fixed the *********** paid for it but we found out soon that now the cellular service wasnt working anymore. My daughter had ************* & was able to use it but cellular was not working.I started by calling **** to diagnose the phone. They determined that it was a problem with the phone itself, so I went to Apple to see if I could get a diagnostic. Apple gave me an official diagnostic, and when I asked what causes the problem that the phone was having causing it to not work on cellular service, they said when you have the screen replaced sometimes the technician can damage the antennas ability to receive cellular service. A few weeks later, I took the phone back to go gadgets, and explained what I had heard from Apple. I explained that according to Apple, the issue was caused by the screen repair. Go gadget had a warranty on their work.. I asked them to fix it.They insisted that Apple was wrong, and the problem was not anything to do with what the official diagnostic (which I shared a screenshot of with go gadget) was. I insisted that, since Apple was the manufacture, most likely what they were saying the problem was was the case. there was nothing else in it for them to lie about this. I found it suspicious that go gadget was insisting that this was not their fault when it started immediately after they did the repair. It seemed very unlikely that the new issue wasnt caused by some sort of movement or damage when the technician from GoGadgets had opened up the phone. After some insistence, they agreed to try to fix the phone and charge us only for the part that they would need to fix the phone with. They told me at that time that it would take one week to fix the phone. After about two weeks of not hearing back, I started calling to ask about the status, and they claimed that the phone repair was not complete yet. They said that they had determined that the problem actually has something to do with the logic board and they were trying to fix it. After this, I checked in with them almost every day for the next 10 days. When it finally came time for me to pick up the phone, they informed me that they had not been able to fix the phone completely after keeping it for almost. Month. They told me that while they had repaired the cellular service, which is what we brought that phone to them for, now the Wi-Fi was not working. As a reminder, the Wi-Fi was working before we dropped it off to them.Weve had two rounds of Repair with GoGo Gadgets Repair fix one thing, but they break something else. first it was the cell service then the wifi service parts. I explained to the representative that the Wi-Fi was working before and that the technician has damaged it if it was no longer working. He said the technician says its not their fault. Ultimately we were left with a phone that did not work, and the only thing that they would do for us is switch out the fixed screen with the original broken screen and give us the unusable phone back and refund us for the repair of the damage screen.Other than giving us back the broken screen and refunding the amount we paid for the screen they have not given us any compensation for leaving us with a phone that is more broken then when we brought it to them the first time!
