We are selling our house and they came out to do one last “maintenance check” and the guy said oh you have a capacitor out of alignment and one other thing and it will be 700 dollars. (The heat and ac unit worked perfectly up to this exact point.) Trying to take advantage of us when we are just trying to move. So we say “no it works perfectly nothing has ever been wrong with it in the years we have lived here so we will pass on that charge”. He then seems upset we don’t want to pay a huge upcharge from the free maintenance check and goes down stairs to “collect his tools” and comes back up the stairs and says “ oh man you will never guess , the whole unit just broke and shut down. I will have to fix that now. what a bummer sorry about that”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? So since we wouldnt pay the crazy 700 bogus charge he goes and breaks the thing and says now we have to pay him to fix it!??? My poor wife says oh maybe it was just a coincidence. I said to the guy you know how full of sh%t you sound right!? And he said oh yea I do know but I promise I didn’t do anything to it to make it go out. I was just doing the maintenance check and then all of a sudden it went out. So I told him to get his tools and get out of our house trying to scam us like that! So now we have a broken heater in the cold of winter and are being strong armed into paying them to fix it or just have a broken unit in our home we are trying to sell. He said to my wife as he was leaving that he could give us a “50%” discount but that’s the best he could do. Dude what!? Fix it for free since you intentionally broke it to get us to pay up when we are in between a rock and a hard place. Talk about using and abusing your customers! I tried to call the office but he has the phones directly routed to his cell phone. Sneaky sneaky sneaky all the way around.

We came out to perform an annual furnace maintenance that is
part of our club program the client has been apart of for almost a year. During
this particular inspection our technician found two issues that he brought to
our client’s attention, and they respectfully declined. Our technician went
back to the unit and unfortunately, one of the recommended items failed 100%.
Our technician brought it back up to the client’s attention and they were very
upset. Our technician called me and advised of the situation and although it is
extremely rare, sometimes things break while on site, so we offered to split
the cost of the $699 repair to $349.50 in good faith to maintain a good working
relationship. Owner kicked our technician out of the house. I followed up with
the homeowner the following day giving him time to calm down to see how we can
come to a solution. Owner advised me he had already hired another contractor to
come and fix the issue for $691 who also confirmed that the repair was needed and
was not sabotaged. I offered to split that with him, and he was happy that I reached
out and was satisfied with the outcome. I drove to his work and personally
      delivered a check for $345.50

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18808856, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The owner of Bee Right There called me personally and apologized for the whole deal and is offering to split the cost of the other guy’s repairs. We are considering this issue resolved
