On 6/15, I hired Stockdale Landscape to repair a leaking sprinkler head. An estimator (****) came out and instead of addressing the sprinkler head in question, went to another part of my yard and "found" a leaking pipe. (My gardener has since told me, he never noticed a leak in that area.) I received an estimate via email for $290.51.

On 6/19, a crew of 2 came out, one of whom was ***** *******. He did work on the head that I originally called about, while the other replaced the pipe on the other side of the yard. I gave ***** a check for the agreed-upon amount before he left. A few hours after they left, I saw that the original sprinkler head was still leaking. I called ***** and reported this, and he said he'd be out the following day. When he didn't show by 5 p.m., I called the main phone number, and a man by the name of Israel came out, (making a point to tell me he was on his way home) and told me there was a bad valve, and recommended that I have all 5 valves replaced.

Their contract specifically states "Testing system upon completion to ensure no further leaks are present." This was not done. Furthermore, they should have found the bad valve issue during the initial evaluation. If they had done their job correctly, it wouldn't have cost me $290, plus additional money to have the job done right by someone else.
And while I can't prove it, I firmly believe that the estimator who came out on 6/15 intentionally damaged the pipe, to make for a more costly repair.

Additionally, I later received a bill for $311.22. I addressed this discrepancy via email and though that was resolved, it causes me to further question the way this company does business.

I feel that as an older woman alone, I was taken advantage of and would like a refund for a job not done correctly or honestly.
