    I was driving a rental car behind the *** Crossroads tractor trailer truck VIN-LJ359550 CA-****** KYU-****** USDOT-******* ICCMC-******. The truck did not have secured tire flaps on the back of the Swift trailer that it was hulling. At around 4:16PM on 12/8/25 the trailer kicked up a rock causing me to swerve. The rock cracked the glass on my front window driver side window shield. I tried to get the tractor to stop, and the driver proceeded to drive without stopping. This happened on the Florida turnpike headed North from ***** to ************* **. This was an ********************* adopted Highway. I have pictures and videos of the exact time that the incident happened along with supporting documentation of how the crack on the window shield expanded from the time the incident happened up until the time I dropped of the vehicle with Hertz car rental at the *********** location. I was charged the amount of $440.01 to recover the damages on the rental. I am seeking reimbursement from *** Crossroads after being blocked by the person who answered my call on the day of 12/8/25 at around 6PM EST. This is a very unprofessional establishment, and the caller answered "hello" without any type of professionalism with a business name greeting. I was told that I would receive a call back from the person who answered the call. he said his brother ****** would call and I never received a call back only to find that my number was blocked. I proceeded to file a claim with their insurance company (*****) after doing further research and that company gave me the run around 6 months until finally denying the claim. I was advised by my attorney to file a report here with the BBB and if I do not have any success here, I will proceed to file a claim with the small claims court. I have more than enough evidence to prove that this particular truck caused the damage and I would like to come to an amicable agreement to get the situation resolved before proceeding to take this to court.
