We are having an issue with our flood repair company called 911 Restoration. We had a misunderstanding over what fees the insurance was going to pay directly to them, and which were going to be paid to us, who then have to pay the restoration company. Once we found out who had to pay for what part of the repairs, and we got paid by the insurance, we contacted them right away to coordinate the final repairs and payments. What we received from 911 Restoration at that point was a demand and pressure to sign a work completed form and to pay them in full for all repairs even though all work has not been completed yet. We offered to pay half now and pay the other half and sign their documents when the work is completed of which there are still two repairs pending: 1. One light fixture still needs to be reinstalled. 2. One repair is inadequate and needs to be redone because it is visibly bulging. To our surprise, 911 Restoration has hardened their position and is insisting on us signing their documents and paying them in full with no assurance of finishing the last two repairs. They told us they will send us to collections if we do not comply. You can see this exchange between us in the attached emails and text messages. We reiterated to them that we are committed to come to a mutual resolution and offered what we have told them before. To resolve this problem we have offered to pay them half now, and the remaining half and sign documents once the jobs are finished, but they are refusing to accept any payment or complete any repairs. They have emailed us in this regard, and we replied via email and text messages directly to the owner. They are not offering any option for any other resolution to us in this matter despite several attempts from us to move forward.
