This company has accessed the ******************* ********************* In doing so they have targeted individuals with money due to them. They are sending letters stating that they, the company, ************************** and Associates has access to that unclaimed money. If I, myself will fill out the paperwork enclosed, they'll send my money. These forms ask for personal information which includes driver's license and social security number. The format is unprofessional. The paper is a cheap two sided YELLOW sheet. This cheap looking reproduction states, (at the top)Claim for Abandoned Property. The ********** comp controllers hold the property. It is NOT possible for *****, Richards and Assocs to also be HOLDING the property! They have no right to access someone else's property! Without that person's permission, they are phfishing!. They're suggesting that I have given them permission to access my unclaimed property on my behalf! I have NOT! THIS is an attempt to get my personal information and money owed to me. I'm not paying anyone a fee for something they have no right to! Unethical, and slimy! Trying to get over on people who don't know any better is attempted fraud! The letter is misleading and suggests that, *****, *******'s, and ****** is holding the property. THEY do not have ANYONE'S PROPERTY but, are trying to get it! They are mimicking what ********** requires from everyone to make a claim. They CAN get what ever is due if YOU provide enough information. BUT, you will never-ever see your money!

    Dear ************,
Our firm specializes in the recovery of unclaimed property, and we have done so for the past 20+ years. We offer a service that is completely optional, where individuals can accept or simply discard. We do NOT hold or claim to hold anyones money as you indicated, nor do we claim that you have given us permission to access your unclaimed property. Our notification is straight forward and covers what we do and what our fees are for using our service. Information regarding unclaimed property is public record, ID and SSN will be required to confirm ownership of the funds as well as the cheap double sided yellow form that is suggested directly by the State. If you dont wish to go through the process, simply discard the notification and provide your claim ID number so we could remove you from our system.
