    Business Response

    Date: 09/12/2024

I am sending this email in response to the complaint against our company.

On May 13, 2024 our company performed an ** tune-up as part of a utility sponsored program that this homeowner qualified for.  An ** Tune-up consists of cleaning the coils, measuring the air pressure and charging the system with ** refrigerant if needed.  In this case no refrigerant was needed and there were no issues with the ** unit.

On July 7, 2024, (two months after the ** tune-up service visit)  the customer called and complained that there was something wrong with his ** unit.  As a courtesy, our Company sent a technician to perform an inspection of the unit.  After the visual assessment on the ** unit, our technician determined that the repairs needed were not related to the **-tune up  previously done on this unit, therefore, repairs could not be done by our company.  Pictures were taken of the unit showing what the visual assessment showed as repairs needed.  Our technician showed the pictures to the customer and explain why the necessary repairs were out of scope of what the program offers.   (It is important to note that the customer told us he has replaced those moving parts of the unit in the past).

On July 10, 2024 the customer hired another contractor to repair the ** unit and is now wanting us to reimburse him for the repairs.

Winegard Energy is not responsible for the repair work to the ** unit as we only performed an ** Tuneup and there was nothing wrong with the system at that time.

I am rejecting this response because: they had came out at least 3 times and it was less then 2 weeks after the first visit also I have a note from the repair company that states motor was Unproperly installed. And they had removed it last after they messed it up to begin with look I had 0 problems with my ac until after they touched it it had problems and it costed me out of pocket for them stripping screws and removing the ac blower
