    I rented a storage unit for about 56 dollars . Then they went up in price by 30.00 and would not accept my renters insurance. I spoke to the Manager yesterday and she stated my Nov bill is due today. I paid it but now it’s 94.00. So I basically felt tricked into getting my unit saying I could save money with my renters insurance and then they said they offer it. They would not accept it. I told her I have been I. The process of moving out of state 2000 miles away. The chat is not working and I was texted that someone was away but would get back to me on the issues Not so. How does the company advertise for 56.00 then get to jack it’s prices especially during Covid and get away with it because they then hold your belongings hostage.

    Hello,.

    Ms. ****** has been with us for almost three years.  Rate increases are the nature of our business, occur anywhere between 6-12 months, and are based on current market and competitor rates.  Her last increase was on June 1, 2022.  She has had our protection plan since 7/11/20.  If she has renters insurance, she can submit that to me at [email protected] and I can have that monthly charge removed.  The insurance has to be in her or her spouse's name and match the address we have on file.  I don't know when she submitted her renter's insurance or why staff might have told her it wasn't acceptable, I don't see that we've had any complaints from her.
