I paid Rooster Lighting Corp over $136,000 starting in September 2021 for five contracts, intending to have various house-related work completed. However, as of today, none of the contracted work has been finished. I have numerous issues, including holes in my walls, splitting fencing, cracked concrete work, an incomplete bathroom addition, untouched landscaping, and an unfinished closet addition. Additionally, there are contractor boards, garbage, and trash littering both my front and back yards for over a year. I am currently on SSDI and feel that I have been taken advantage of by this contractor. To address this issue, I sent a certified letter in early June 2023, requesting that all completed work be fixed to my satisfaction and that the remaining work, which I've already paid for, be completed by the end of July 2023. As of now, my building permit remains open, and I have not received any communication from Rooster Lighting Corp, except for occasional promises via text that they will be there "tomorrow," which never materialize. Due to this ongoing situation, I have decided to take the following actions: 1. I plan to file a formal complaint with the contractors' board to address the contractor's negligence and lack of response.2. I will seek assistance from a consumer advocate in order to better understand my rights and potential avenues for resolution.3. I am reaching out to you for guidance and support in resolving this matter.Unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to hire an attorney, but at this stage, my primary objective is to recover the entirety of the money I have paid to Rooster Lighting Corp. plus mental, physical, and emotional damages. Your assistance and advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Rooster has since moved to ****************************************************** I have all documentation but too big to upload.
